I love the sandal; it has the right support for my feet (fallen arches). I am still getting used to the toe thong, it hurts a little, but I am sure it will give. I wish more shoe manufacturers would make more stylish shoes and sandals that have a decent arch support. As always Zapppos is the best.

Bought the Gizeh's for a few trips I was taking this summer. My shoes arrived the day before my trip to Disney World. I wore them on my flight down and for a few hours walking around at the outlets when we arrived in Florida. They were a little stiff but not at all unbearable. After wearing them around a little bit here and there for about a week, they were completely broken in. Some people may be concerned with the thong, but it never bothered my toes. I need arch support (I'm 25, but have trouble wearing flat shoes), and these sandals provided a great alternative to sneakers when walking around a lot. I think one of the best things is that the sandal can be dressed up or down depending on what you're wearing. I'm taking them on a trip to Paris next week and I'm sure they'll be comfortable and provide the support I need!

I needed a supportive sandal but wanted some style. These two criteria don't usually mix well especially when one has a very narrow foot like me. I ordered these in narrow and they work fine. They fit a little loose in the width for my very narrow foot. I can live with it by adding another hole in the buckle and dealing with looseness in the toe area. They aren't the most stylish things but are cuter than my other pair of Arizona Birkenstocks. I wish there was something more stylish but my back is happy and so are my feet.

Believe me I have lots of foot problems, and knee problems. I have tried so many pairs of shoes from Zappos and purchased lots too but sent back plenty. So many I am glad that they keep me as a customer, Let me tell you these shoes are the best. I can walk with out foot and knee pain. It is truly amazing. Thank you Zappos. I tell all my client about you and my entire family shops Zappos. You are great, and the shoe is awesome.

Really pretty sandals. The foot bed is very comfortable and they look really nice on. The problem is, even though the leather looks very nice, the strip that goes across the top of your foot is very rough & stiff. Ouch! They rubbed the top of my feet raw after having them on for only an hour or so just walking around the house. I will really have to work to break these in. I own other Birk's and Papillios that are much cheaper & the leather is much more comfortable and soft. I have only been wearing them around the house now for about a week & they still hurt. You'd expect more from a costly sandal! I will keep them though because they look so nice on, I know eventually they will soften up. They do run a size larger I usually wear a size 8-8 1/2 and I got the size 37 which is 7-7 1/2 & they fit perfectly.

These shoes are a dream. I have MS and need flat shoes with support. Without looking like orthopedic shoes, these are wonderful. The straps hold my feet securely, but are easy to slip off and on without the use of my hands or bending over. I bought the hot pink and get so many compliments on the color and style. I will certainly purchase another color and look at other styles. I have found my heaven on earth without looking disabled.

After giving away my last pair of Birks because they seemed too wide and rubbed my instep in strange places, I decided to give these a try. The buckles are smaller than my last pair, and these are great. I put them on when they arrived and have enjoyed total comfort ever since. I really like the soft footbed for my bony feet. The size is perfect. I’m so happy that I tried Birks again!

Super sandals - zero break-in if you are used to wearing Birkenstocks already. Not the prettiest sandal, but soft, cushy footbeds for hours of walking and/or staying on your feet. My only suggestion would be when purchasing any style with the soft footbed, to order a size up from your regular size. I have found that the extra cushioning takes up more room than the regular hard footbed. I just wish Birkenstock would make MORE styles in the soft footbed… so amazing!

This is my second pair of real Birkenstocks and although the first pair intially hurt my instep until they were "broken in" this pair was like a comfortable old pair of slippers from the very first time I wore them. The first pair was nubuck and this pair leather, not sure if that had anything to do with it or not. The fit is true. These were so comfortable my daughter tried to make off with them, so I wound up getting her an identical pair. Easier than fighting with her over them.

These may very well be the PERFECT shoe! I had a pair of Gizeh's years ago and wore them so much they fell apart. I forgot how comfortable and stylish they are on my feet. They go with jeans, shorts or dresses and the black patent give your look a little edge. These sandals are more comfortable than my sneakers. They do run big, though. I ordered a size down. If you want style molded to your foot, buy these shoes!

The toe part is REALLY THICK. I bought these because I have been looking for a more stylish Birkenstock sandal with the same comfort of my beloved old ones, and thought these would fit the bill. I can't wear regular thongs if the between the toe part is too thick, and unfortunately these were too thick. I wore them for an afternoon of light shopping in Vegas and developed painful blisters on both feet between my big toe and 2nd toe. If you are used to wearing thick thonged thongs you'll love them, but if not I recommend the Cozumel style.

True to reviews I read before buying, these shoes do run large - so I bought a size down and they fit nicely - adjustable straps. I have narrow feet with VERY little fatty tissue, and therefore my feet hurt and ankles ache as I walk on tiled concrete floors (school administrator). My feet and legs have not hurt since wearing these every day (a black and a brown pair) - and they are cute with my skirts and dresses. Good, flat sole w/ arch support (Birks,Born,Clarks, etc) vs. flex sole shoes were recommended for my mild foot problems by an Emory Univ. physician - these meet my expectations and I’m picky. The Birks provide me the best overall comfort.

I originally ordered this in a 38 and they were way too big. I then ordered the 37 narrow and they fit great. I usually wear a 7.5 M shoe. They are pretty cute for Birkenstocks.

Love it, but watch the narrow fit if you have fallen-to-very-little arches because the shoe comes built with a very high, very hard arch in a place. I’m not used to having one, so they can be just a little uncomfortable for long periods on your feet.

The comfort and support is outstanding, and makes the compromise on style worth it. I wore them a few hours a day to break them in, before I wore them for any length of time. I love the comfort. The support relieves my feet pain. Very happy with this purchase!

I thought I'd give this Birkenstock a try since it has a back strap, which I need, and had the new "soft" footbed. I love the color, it goes with everything. I love the fit, as I have wide feet and it fits perfectly. I love the style, as it's pretty, and feminine. The straps however just barely fit my feet on the very last holes, and there isn't much room if you needed to add more holes. This would be the only downfall with this pair I could find. The soft footbed is nice on the days I don't want or need as much support as my regular Birki's. It is still supportive, but if you need lots of support as normal Birki's give, this may be too soft for you. I find it wears about the same as other pairs, too, so far. The price is high but I figure good shoes are worth it, and you just can't find this pair anywhere! Thanks Zappos!!

Classy sandal! The black patent makes the "homely" base of this shoe fashionably acceptable. It’s VERY comfortable once you wear them around the house for two days. It conforms to the shape of your foot. Magic. The straps are smartly placed so there isn’t any fumbling with trying to keep them on. I can run with these shoes! I am between sizes - I am able to wear sizes 6 through 7. So I ordered the 37 Narrow. Perfect fit.

Great for travel - I bought these before a 2 week trip to Indonesia - they are a little more 'granola' looking than I would normally buy but are actually surprisingly cute! These held up for long outdoorsy walks and I also wore them in the city. A pleasant bonus - the sole seemed to soften the soles of my feet - they actually got softer as the trip progressed!

I didn’t expect these to be actually gold (like, shiny gold)... I thought they’d be more of a golden-browny matte color. They are shimmery gold – but they’re cute. I just got them and they are comfy.

I didn't believe the shoe could be cut so much larger even after reading the other reviews. I got a size 13 which is my normal size and had to exchange it for a 12-12.5, beware these shoes are really cut a size larger then the chart states!

The first pair I ordered was too big. It was not true to size... so I ordered a size down and exchanged. And I love these shoes. I wear them with everything. The middle plastic part hurt me bad until I got the right size, then I didn’t feel it at all. I recommend this shoe highly...

I bought these for my sister-in-law who normally wears a size 8 1/2. They were a little narrow so she made an extra hole in the belt, which expanded it a bit. She loves them and wears them constantly. I bought the same pair in a size 36, which corresponds to a size 5 1/2. I wear a 6 1/2 normally, so I was surprised that they fit, but they do. I love these shoes and wear them almost everyday. They are a little awkward initially, but now I can't wear flip flops because they hurt my feet compared to these. They are awesome shoes and so adorable. Zappos is the best when it comes to returns and ordering.

These Birkenstocks definitely are more attractive than Birkenstocks I have seen in the past. They are quite comfortable and there is no "break in" time which often means the footwear won't work out anyway. My only issue is that the orthotic ridges don't fit my feet perfectly. Initially I was concerned, but have had no problems and the comfort level is good.
