I was worried that these would not be cute on me. I am 20 and needed some good sandals that would not make my feet die while I am backpacking around Europe this summer. My other friends were going to fork over a lot of money for some Birkenstocks but when I got these they changed their minds. They are so comfortable! the cushion on the bottom is amazing and has not worn down at all and I have worn them a bunch already. They are actually super cute too. I was not necessarily looking for cute, more for comfort. I was really pleasantly surprised by how nicely they go with a little floral dress or shorts or something. I definitely recommend them. To add to it, they are amazing for how inexpensive they are; not to mention, they showed up at my house in only three days! I wear an 8½ but can sometimes squeeze my feet into the occasional 8. When it comes to sandals, I was not really sure. After watching the video I kind of assumed they ran a little big, and I got an 8 and they fit perfectly. The straps were not uncomfortable and tight like some sandals are before you wear them in either. These are just all around really good shoes. I am really glad that I gave them the benefit of the doubt when I was not sure because they turned out to be perfect.

As much as I wanted these to work, they didn't. My feet are somewhat wide, so I got them in a W. When they arrived, they fit like a M. The Wide is not wide at all. I was able to squeeze my feet in but my pinkie toe would fall out. I would definitely recommend going up a width if you are concerned (i.e. if your feet are narrow, you can probably fit medium). I can also understand how, as previous reviewers have mentioned, the leather straps seems hard and sharp. The decorative lines embossed in the straps are also more prominent in person. But in spite of all this, I think the worst part about this sandal was by far the SOUND. The way the sole is cushioned makes a very noticeable whooshing noise with every step (imagine the sound of sitting on those cushioned toilet seats -- it's just like that). I know that not every sandal makes the noise, but both of mine did (compared to my Bass Joanne, only one of them makes the noise). It's really not tolerable, not to mention they didn't fit, so I had to return these. Sad!

I thought about sending these back because they made this squishing sound when I walked. I'm glad I didn't. I love these sandals! They are very comfortable. They look great. I got the tan color, and it's the perfect neutral to wear with anything all summer long. Did I already say I love these? Oh, and they don't squish any longer.
I'd also recommend: Born, Teva

I have not been able to wear these for a long day yet but I bought them for my trip to disney because I needed a good pair of sandals that would be cute and comfortable. They fit perfect and are super soft and comfortable! I usually buy size 9 so I got a size 8.5 as mentioned.

I was really pleased with these -- have already worn them on a week cruise. It's been very hard in recent years to find sandals in other than "medium" and "wide;" these fit perfectly. The part of the strap that crosses my little toe is not at the best place for me, but this must differ for every foot.

I have had 2 pairs of the Margie sandals in black, ordered from Zappos. My first pair of the black Margie sandals, the inner strap near the ankle broke after approximately 3-5 wearings. I called Zappos, and they replaced with the same style and color. I had the same thing happen; same strap broke after a very few wearings. The straps are not tight, and I am wearing the appropriate size. Additionally, I am not doing anything strenuous; no hiking or jogging or any such activity. Just walking. On a sidewalk, in a parking lot, etc. I also have a pair of the Margie sandals in Cinnamon. Those I have worn for 2 summers, almost daily. No ripped/torn straps on those. So I have to believe it is a defect with the black ones, for some reason. I can't tell you how disappointing it is to have thrown away this much on sandals I wore less than ten times between the 2 pairs I had. I think the sandals are comfortable, and they are reasonably attractive, for someone with big feet like myself. It's not easy to find shoes that don't look orthopedic for big feet (we like to be stylish too!). The cinnamon color is fine for every day wear, but sometimes I want black sandals to go with my outfit, and now I don't have any thanks to to some manufacturing defect. I think Bass needs to look into this issue, and have contacted them about it. I agree with other reviewers that the foot-bed is rather long; I probably could have gone down half a size. Also, the straps have stretched out a lot. I am considering wetting the sandals and letting them dry in the sun to try and "shrink" them back down for next summer. The straps are so loose that a couple of times I have been afraid of the shoe twisting so badly that I will fall. I don't know if that could be remedied by going down half a size. But overall I do like the shoes, they just have some issues you need to consider before purchasing, and maybe try a slightly smaller size.
