My last pair of Bass shoes were pretty comfortable and lasted a while and so far these seem to fit that as well. My only complaints are the sole is painted to look like leather and rubber but it's really all rubber and that they had a strong odor to them that, after a month, has finally faded. It's kind of a shoe polish smell that isn't terrible but I don't know why it was so strong.

Nice looking. Okay fit. Smells like gasoline - Very nice looking shoe, that seems to be constructed well. Nice sole, good leather. But I got an 11.5 and it fits like an 11. The worst part is the shoes smell like gasoline. Would not recommend.

Very comfortable shoes, decent arch support. This is my second pair of Bass shoes in 5 years. Very happy with both.

The shoes have a distinct gasoline smell. It is quite unpleasant for at least 2 weeks. The fit and the look of the shoe is great but the smell is awful.

While I like these shoes, they do still smell like gasoline. I have had other pairs of Bass shoes, and I like the way they fit. They look good and are comfortable, even to walk in. Like other reviewers, the soles of these shoes do smell like petrol, and the smell hasn't gone away yet, almost one month later.

The shoes are comfortable and attractive, but they have a very strong industrial smell that hasn\'t gone away over the first few months I\'ve owned these. It\'s still bad enough that other people in the room notice it.

This shoe was a sharp looking shoe for my son at a reasonable price. It is comfortable and stylish and has worn well for an 11 year old who is hard on everything!

Delivery was expedient. The comfort was outstanding for being worn 40 hours a week and walking 50% of the time. No notice of odor as other reviews have said.

There is no doubt these are well-built, good-looking shoes. However, I really hope that they no longer use whatever toxic chemical is emanating from these bad boys. Mine are a year old and still stink up the garage! (There's no way I would store these in the house with my small kids.) They're great for weddings, church, parties, but do not wear these inside a car for long trips!

Nice look and great fit. But as others have said, the toxic smell coming from these is unreal. If the government had shoe recalls, these would be tops on the list. These things are surely a health hazard. Apparently Bass doesn't check them before they leave the Chinese factory.
