Overall:

This shoe is very lightweight, looks nice, and like all Avias has the cantilever in the heel. This creates a 'sweet spot' upon heel strike that gives the liftoff a trampoline type effect. It's the reason I have been only using Avia shoes since about 1990-91 or so. They keep improving their product and their prices are very reasonable. Combine that with Zappos' legendary service and you have a winner!

Overall:

First time purchase of Avia in hopes the width would really be a true wider width. Additionally, the support/cushioning for lower back would be important. Well, I\'m surprised and delighted to say that these shoes worked from the get go! I will buy them again!

I only wear Avia tennis shoes and this is probably the 10th pair I have purchased, mostly all with Zappos. You'll never find a better on-line store than Zappos, the best customer service in the world. These Avias are true to size and comfortable right out of the box. I ordered a new color (for me), the taupe/ecru, and like it because it's fairly neutral. I will probably order the same shoe in black. I have never had an Avia tennis shoe that wasn't satisfactory.

Zappos service is terrific. The sneakers arrived quickly and they are very comfortable. I have wide feet and wanted a sneaker I could wear a thick sock with these sneakers fit the bill. Recommended.

Overall:

Arch support. This is a great overall shoe with really well defined arch support. The A339M has the best arch support that I've ever felt in a shoe. Great for people with low arches or flat feet. It is categorized as a walker, but I see no reason you can't go to the gym with it. I just purchased a few pairs of Avia crosstrainers. They all feel really solid. I have finally found a brand that supports my feet. If you're like me and have become dissatisfied with Asics crosstrainers (what happened to their product is a mystery), then move on to Avia. Plus, Avia is much cheaper.

I\'ve learned that I can count on Zappos for complete satisfaction. My past experience buying footwear online has not been satisfactory, so I took a chance when I ordered the Avia tennis shoes. I did this only because of free shipping both ways. (My 72-year-old feet are mighty particular on my daily walks.) I was so pleased that I immediately ordered another pair (different brand). I\'m very happy with that pair also.

I have been an Asics guy since I discovered them several years ago. When I needed a new pair to run in, I decided to try these instead of Asics, mostly because they cost less. When I took them for a run they felt awesome and have been great, supportive shoes ever since. I also liked the solid cushioning that the Convexus system provides. I am more impressed with these than the Asics and will continue to buy Avia from now on. I also noticed that my friend has a similar pair.

Amazing Shoes - I have a lot of trouble buying shoes. I used to be a weightlifter and weigh about 215 pounds. It is difficult to find shoes that can support my weight. The shoes I was wearing before I got these were leaning over on the sides because they did not have sufficient structural support. The Avias are much better and are holding up very well. Avia has delivered the best performance I have gotten from any running shoes I've worn. I will continue to buy Avia shoes from Zappos.com.

I bought a pair of Avia A333W sneakers at Kohls in April 2009, that makes them 6 months old. I wear these sneakers every day, commuting to and from work. Although very comfortable, I am disappointed that they already have a tear on the top front of the right sneaker which makes them impossible to wear when it is raining. This was my first Avia purchase and it will be my last.

Great shoe. I walk 3+ miles a day, uphill, and need a walking shoe to support me and my efforts. This one is great; takes a little getting used to as it is bigger overall on the outside, but cushions and protects your foot well. The cantilever action does seem to aid walking, and the wide size gives my toes plenty of room to spread as my foot hits the treadmill belt. Well worth the price.

My husband wears a size 13M. He is very hard on a tennis shoe. The Avia A339M is a good fit. Looks great on and is durable. He does not play ball, but he does walk a lot. I recommend this product.

I had a problem with lace up shoes making a sore on the top of my feet and an issue with a sore heel. I had bought Avia shoes before at a local retailer, but they don’t carry velcro closures. When I found these shoes on Zappos, I was thrilled. Ordering them was a snap and they arrived so quickly. They were comfortable the moment I took them out of the box. The fit was right and the size was true. I wore them to work the day I got them and have started walking my dogs again as my feet no longer hurt. I would highly recommend these shoes to anyone looking for a comfortable easy to put on shoe. They’re great and so is Zappos. I will be ordering my shoes from here in the future.

I was a bit reluctant to try these out, but on the suggestion of a friend I gave them a shot. They fit and feel great. I love this shoe, and it\'s now my new favorite trainer. I would highly recommend these to others. I would say that I am most impressed with the cushioning, it feels fantastic.

This shoe is so comfortable, stylish and affordable. Avia is always my first choice in exercise shoes. I can wear them immediately and exercise without having to worry about fit or comfort. I chose this shoe not only for the way it fits my foot, but also for the fact that the color is supportive of breast cancer awareness, with its pink sidelines and undersoles. Receiving my shoes two days after I ordered them, shipping free, was a real surprise. Zappos is the only way to go to get the shoe you want!

Whenever you make a choice to order online or to "shop around" locally, you must choose between time vs. money, shipping charges, delays, and so on. While I was really happy to find the Avia athletic shoes I wanted on Zappos, I was absolutely thrilled when you then alerted me that Zappos would be expediting my order, free of charge! Wow, how cool was that?! I literally got them the next day and immediately wore them to the trail to walk my dog. I don't think I remember the last time any retailer did anything so generous. Thank you, Zappos. That was very cool.

Highly Recommended- I needed a performance running shoe that would not cause foot problems. I had been wearing Nike Air Alvord VI\\\'s and had been experiencing ankle pains because they lacked support where I needed it and allowed my foot to turn the wrong way. I had worn Avia in the past without issues, so I decided to try these. Within several runs, the problem was fixed and I was very comfortable in them. They have good cushioning while remaining stable and supportive. As always, Zappos is excellent! Can\\\'t beat the two day shipping either!

Avia shoes are one of the most comfortable I've ever worn, and my feet are very picky. I would recommend these shoes to anyone and everyone. If you have a hard time finding athletic shoes that are comfortable and good looking, try Avias! They will always be my first choice.

I used Zappos.com for the first time last month. Not only did I purchase a great pair of running shoes for a wonderful price, but I didn't pay for shipping! I did not have to go out to the malls, or over pay at a specialty store. I normally pay more than double for running shoes! I absolutely love Zappos and I will be a life long customer. My shoes arrived on time and I received a prompt email after my purchase with a confirmation number and the tracking info. I will always recommend Zappos to my family and friends.

I love these shoes. They are so comfortable and very light. Usually when I wear running shoes my feet tend to be really sweaty. Not with this. I highly recommend these shoes. Also, the fast shipping doesn't hurt either.

2nd pair of Avia. I never see Avia running shoes in any big-name publication or endorsements, but this is my 2nd pair and I love them. I originally ran across a cheapie pair of Avia (that is no longer produced) at an outlet store and they felt like heaven on my feet immediately. I started power-walking and then running in them. Then I got more serious about running so I decided to try a more serious pair, these 2053 shoes. They are a bit more fitted so they offer more stability. I just went for my first run in them and no break-in required! No rubbing, even with the tighter fit. I always use a cheap little Dr. Scholl’s odor cushion in all my shoes, and they feel fine in my Avia shoes. The shoes are also great-looking to boot. I did buy both pair of Avia in a 6, which is within my normal shoe range of 5.5-6. I know it is recommended to go up a bit in size, but I have had no problems whatsoever. I just discovered my father also wears Avia and loves them.

These are terrific shoes. I have worn Avia shoes for a long time, but recently decided that I would try New Balance because so many of my friends said NB are the best. After wearing NB for a little over a week, about 25 miles of walking, my legs, feet, knees, hips and back were hurting almost continuously. I don't know why it took me so long to determine that it was the shoes causing my discomfort, but when that realization hit me, I immediately stopped wearing NB and started wearing (my old) Avias. The pain almost instantly diminished. I have retired my old Avias and am now wearing these. They required no break-in and I have absolutely no difficulty wearing them. I also ordered Avia 333 which are just as delightful. Zappos is the best!
