Ariat Reviews
I so wanted to love these boots. PROS: fabulous styling and perfect heel shape and height, super comfy footbed. CONS: I know that distressing is not an exact science, but the right boot was so much more distressed than the left it was noticeable (much darker color vs. much lighter distressed color). Also, the inside seam of the boot was very stiff and protruding and was rubbing against my ankle bone. I realized much discomfort/pain just from taking my first very few steps. I don't know if it would soften with wear, but can't take the chance. Even with my jeans tucked in, it was still uncomfortable. Very, very sad but had to return.
This bag fits my everyday needs perfectly. My only complaint is that the material is stiff, and the straps are a rough texture. I am hoping that it will soften up a bit with use.
I am in love with these boots! I had no experience with the brand Ariat, but I read up on them on their website. Very impressed. I almost went the practical route and got brown boots, but I'm glad I followed my heart and went with the red. They are beautiful. I get so many compliments every time I wear them. With jeans, they look like "regular" boots that go up to the knee, but since I bought them mainly for dancing (Cajun, Two-step, etc.) I didn't want my legs getting hot, so I was really looking for a mid-calf boot. These did not require any breaking in. They were comfortable from the second I put them on. Inside they feel like Dansko or Born, and on the outside they look like regular cowboy boots. All this and they were on sale.

My typical shoes size sits between a 10 and an 11 -- depending on brand -- so I try to find shoes in size 10.5. Ariat does not carry the 10.5, so I went with the Black shoe in size 11 thinking that would probably work best as safety shoes never seem comfortable. Even with my thickest socks, they felt too big. So I was happy to order the Brown shoe in size 10 to see how that fit. Ten seems good. Now I will be returning the Black 11 for a Black 10. Two pairs of Ariat to switch out and wear at work.
This dress runs at least two sizes large! I ordered a small (the smallest size in stock) and it hangs on me like a tent.
I was really excited to get these boots because I wanted a pair of high cowgirl boots. These are really pretty, and they look so good on the girls in the Ariat ads. But they do not look good on. Plus, if you have even remotely big or muscular calves, you can't zip them up. For being "country" Ariat really doesn't know what real cowgirls' legs look like. Plus, the shoe itself wasn't very comfortable. I find that Tony Lama and Nocona make much more comfortable cowgirl boots. I had to return these.
Heavenly - a first time experience for me and I am 78! I am a walker and was walking in a shoe that had that rise in the center back of shoe that hit the achilles...and thought that was my best shoe. Podiatrist told me to get a shoe where the heel was higher than the sole, and to use a heel lift. As soon as I put it on it was like a glove and a nice heel lift that I added a bit to. I am very happy, ordered my exact size 9.5. I have a narrow heel and a bunion on the larger right foot. No problem. These are not wide like Clarks, not narrow...but just right. Have ordered different styles of Ariat shoes. Happy happy! The free shipping and especially the free returns encouraged me to try this shoe. Yea! Zappos.
Nice shoe, comfy, lots of room and width for wide bunion feet, but runs big even for a big foot. I am returning for one half size smaller.
Very strange! First, the look: the leather doesn't look as nice as I was expecting, kind of plasticky, fake. It is very stiff. Second, the fit: boots feel very narrow at the tip of the foot, very wide and loose by the heel. In length, they feel too long.
I ordered these for my 15-year-old son in his normal shoe size (9). In hiking boots, he has a 9.5. He is going on a 10-day trail riding/camping trip and needs boots, but, not being a cowboy, didn't want traditional cowboy boots. Anyway, these boots were at least an entire size too big. There were 2" between the tip of his big toe and the front of the boot. His heel slipped up as he walked. In fact, he had trouble keeping these boots on while walking. Don't know what the issue is. Will try a 1/2 size and a full size down. Otherwise, I don't know what I'll do.
This is a great sturdy bag for travel and for everyday. Not too big and yet lots of compartments for everything. I can even fit my small lunch and my iPad mini! A mini umbrella and a water bottle fit in the outside pockets! Good to Go! Love it...wish there were more colors!
Out of the box comfort beyond belief! I've got wide feet with high arches which often spells trouble. These boots are not only rocking cute and comfortable, it actually feels as if my arches are getting a massage when I walk. Will get them in the other 2 colors asap.
I really wanted to love these boots. Really. However, after wearing them around the house for a few hours, my inside right ankle was so sore, I could feel the pain that night when the sheets brushed across it. Not. Good. Must just be this particular style of boot, because other Ariat boots I am considering don't push on my ankle at all.
This belt is good and the quality is adequate for an everyday use. The ony problem is that it runs small according to its size.
