This is a really great shoe for those who spend the majority of the day on their feet, whether standing or running around. It's very soft inside and out, yet has a sturdy footbed that absorbs shock very well and gives moderate arch support. There's enough room in the shoe to add an additional insole or custom orthotics for more cushioning. I like how the elastic straps are wide and soft enough to not dig into or scrape the skin on the top of my foot, and I can also wear this shoe without socks. It's very breathable. For an orthopedic quality shoe in terms of extreme comfort, it's pretty stylish. One of my best purchases for footwear this year.

I ordered a pair of these shoes, thinking they are pricey, but my feet have issues and I love Zappos. I have a hard time finding shoes to fit my troubled feet and not hurt! I am now ordering at least two more pairs in different colors. When I find something I like and it works for me including clothes, I might have 3 of the same but different colors. If you have an issue with any other style of Arcopedico, try the Shawna style; you'll love them!

I totally love the Arcopedico shoes and love using Zappos for their fantastic service. These Arcopedico shoes are comfortable to wear all day, even on tired old problematic feet. What a blessing to find something at last that doesn't hurt to wear!

I bought these shoes in desperation, despite their looks. As it turned out, their clunkiness and unattractiveness means that I hardly ever wear them. I think part of why they don't look good on me is that my feet are very flexible, thin, and flat, and they sort of look lost in this shoe. But the next size down was too short, a common problem for me. They are pretty comfortable, but the heel is too wide, and I have to pull the velcro strap so far that it reaches the ground, which looks crazy. To me, these shoes look like orthopedic old lady's shoes. All in all, I don't like them, but I think the problem is more my feet than these shoes.

Lovely shoes, but they fit funny in the length. I can't quite describe it. I ordered my usual size and they felt tight and odd (stretch fabric on top), so I then ordered the size up and the fabric was baggy. The color is great, the style is cute, maybe it is just my odd feet; guess I will return these, too. Thank you Zappos for having such a great policy on returns. Time and time I keep coming back to you because of your great service!

I just got them this evening. Perfect size, I wear around and 8.5. I cannot believe how comfortable and light they are, and the arch support is wonderful; there is a heel and I usually wear flats but the heel doesn't bother me at all! They are so comfy I want to wear them to bed with me! The material is wonderful. It also doesn't really look like leather to me; it looks likes something different (that's important to me). It's not shiny, but it does kind of sparkle. It's not flashy or anything, very simple and elegant, not pointy or clumsy. Wonderful boots!

These shoes are exactly what I was looking for - comfortable for city walking, slightly dressy with pants, and with room for warm socks. The leather is soft and fine, and the touch of patent leather gives them a nice dressed-up look. The soles are substantial, and the sides are high enough to look as though they might be a boot. I do like these shoes, and thanks, Zappos, for your excellent service.

Archopedica shoes are extremely comfortable. That said, it isn't easy to find a perfect fit for a size 5.5. I initially tried the 36 but they were too large. I tried a 35 and was concerned because they felt a bit short but decided to keep them anyway. I'm happy with them and have worn them enough that I can recommend them as a daily shoe. They are comfortable even while racing through a busy airport to avoid missing a flight. In my opinion, they are not as comfortable as Mephistos, but at this price point, are an outstanding alternative. Nor are they are stylish as Arche, but much more reasonably priced.

I am so happy with my first purchase via Zappos. I initially picked one style and it didn't fit me well. I was so impressed that returning it wasn't a big deal at all. There was no stress there. Then I ordered another style and it came in literally 3 days. The customer service is excellent as well. As for my shoes, I love them. This is the first conference I have been to. I am attending a cancer conference right now! My feet aren't killing me! I hesitated since it seemed like a ton of money, but I think it is worth it.

Finding shoes despite severe back injuries has been a struggle for ten years. I am delighted to say that these stylish and superbly constructed little boots have my feet (and legs and spine) feeling the best they have in a very long time. Better than barefoot. They have a clean and simple inner sole and lining, which I prefer so that my feet can breathe. The arch support is heavenly (maybe would not be the best for someone with low arches, but I have high arches and it has been a lifelong challenge to find really good support). I wear a 7B and the 6.5-7 fits perfectly with a little room for heavy socks. The faux suede is as good or better than Arche, and at a much better price.

I finally found the perfect shoe. It is deliciously comfortable yet not too ugly! I can be dressed up or down. My only unhappiness is that I can't find the other colors or even another pair in my size 42. Please, don't discontinue this great shoe! I want them all!

Love it. I think this shoe is testament to the fact that "comfortable" does not equal ugly. These shoes are well made, more comfortable than most, and, in my opinion, quite fashionable, in a funky way. I received them today, and despite wide feet/bunions, they were wearable right out of the box (i.e. no break in required). I normally wear a 7 1/2 W, and the 38 was a perfect fit. I purchased the black/pewter combo, but I will most definitely be back for another color combination when finances allow. Could not be happier with this purchase, nor with Zappos, which I think has the best customer service of any other online source.

I purchased these in desperation one week before I left on a trip to Europe. As someone who has numerous foot problems and orthotics, I have never found anything truly comfortable except for tennis shoes. These shoes are the best. No break in time, didn't use orthotics because they felt better without them, and I literally wore only these shoes for 12 days and loved them. I normally wear a 10 - 10 1/2 and did take advice and go to an 11. If you have a narrow foot, they might be loose for you. Wore with thin socks, but are also comfortable barefoot. I don't usually spend this much for shoes, but well worth it. In fact, I'll be purchasing another color.

I purchased this shoes as a X-mas gift for my mother-in-law. We looked for a size 5 for a while. This is a struggle for her. There are not many shoe manufacturers making such a small shoe size. So we were very happy to find the perfect shoe for her. The shoe is superior in quality than what the picture shows. Worth every penny. My mother-in-law couldn't stop praising the great comfort and style.

Cute, but short. I think these would be the perfect airport/travel shoes. They slip on and off easily, and they kind of feel like slippers. For me, the shoes seemed a little short. I am a pretty standard 8.5 and my big toe kept poking at the top. Maybe a larger size will help? Again, though, Zappos is amazing.

I'm a hairdresser and this is our crazy time of year! It is not unusual for me to be standing 12-14 hours a day for days on end. These shoes I bought in 3 different colors because they are so comfortable even after the hours I put them through!

I had never worn this brand before but decided to give them a try. These are the most amazingly comfortable boots. They are like wearing slippers with arch support. I only wish this brand offered additional choices that had some flair and style.

I had problems finding comfortable shoes for a long time. A friend suggested that I try European shoes. I did find a store that carries European shoes. I like the Arcopedico Scala, but their exchange and return policy was not customer friendly. I decided to search online and found Zappos Shoes. The staff I talked to were all so helpful and friendly. What I like best is their 365 days return and exchange policy and free shipping both ways. After I ordered the Arcopedio Scala shoes expecting two days delivery, but it came less than 24 hours. The Arcopedio Scala shoes are very light and comfortable. The left shoe was a half size bigger than the right shoe. Returning was very easy. The next pair, both shoes fitted perfectly. I didn't find the velcro on the strap a problem. What I did is after I take off the shoe I stick both sides of the velcro of the strap together, this way it stays out of the way when I need to put it on, it doesn't snag the hose. I highly recommend these shoes and Zappos Shoes' excellent service. Thanks very much Zappos.

I am so happy with this purchase! It's the first time I have ever purchased tall boots that actually feel good on my feet and they are a pair that I can wear all day. I have bunions so I always have a hard time finding shoes or boots that fit comfortably, but these are great. The material is very soft and light. You can wear them with a skirt. They are not very dressy, but they are simple, nice and comfortable.

I love these little boots! They look great with dress pants and jeans. Excellent arch and heel support. The sole could be a little thicker in the ball of the foot area, but a great shoe.
