Aravon Reviews
Great occasional, somewhat less obtrusive, alternative to my essential but clunky New Balance 812's.
Wanted these to work, but the underneath forefoot strap rubbed against the top of my barefoot. Otherwise these were really comfortable.
These are very comfortable and classy looking sandals. With narrow feet, they are still secure at medium size because of the design and ability to comfortably adjust.
This shoe is designed to provide comfort and yet to look somewhat dressy. However, there are just too many problems with this shoe. First, it's 1/2 to 1 full size smaller than marked. It's also very narrow. Second, the material is supposed to be leather, but it feels and smells like plastic. Third, the collar is way too low and my heels constantly slip out of the shoe. The slippage is worse if you add your orthotics or arch support insert to the shoe. Fourth, despite being called a comfort shoe, the toe box is still too pointed and there is no arch support. So, these are many the major shortcomings -- what are the good things about this shoe? It's light and can still be somewhat disguised as a dress shoe (if you wear long pants). The shoe insole is quite soft and good for feet with metatarsal pain. Again, however, there is not much arch support.
I have a narrow foot. These shoes fit well and I can use them with my orthotics. Love the color.
Fit perfectly! That never happens! I have a need a high toebox and fairly straight last. These are the best shoes!
I wore these sandals every day for a week after I received them. I had no problems at all. They are cute, comfortable and supportive. Fit is perfect.
Well, these were my last effort at finding size 12 sandals...too bad they hurt so much! They do have nice styling; however, I was dismayed to find that they have absolutely no "give" to them and are very stiff, and are terribly slippery on the bottom with no traction whatsoever. I feel that for the price I should really like these shoes and I just don't so they are coming back to Zappos. I would not recommend these sandals to anyone - regardless of shoe size - they aren't worth the money, in my opinion.
Love it! So excited to finally find a feminine dress shoe that fits my wide feet. It was truly a EE. Other shoes say they are, but are often not wide enough for me. I was on my feet in the office all day today and my feet felt wonderful and well supported. They are made well, give wonderful support, look great, and don't hurt my feet at all. I highly recommend these, they go well with slack pants, jeans or a dress/skirt.
I usually take a 6.5WW, got the 7 as they only come in full sizes and it's too large. The 6 is out of stock, so I don't know if it will be too small. They are a little clunky looking but the velcro seems the way to go for my extra wide feet. The back strap on the 7 is too long and sticks straight out, perhaps this will not be an issue with a proper fit.
Zappos was great for my order (5 stars for this)! The shipping was very fast, and of course free :) The shoes, they're OK, I do not suggest purchasing Aravon shoes that have black insoles, as the bottoms of your feet will be covered in black and it is hard to get off with warm water and soap (2 stars). The style of the shoe is OK, I wear them about 3x a week to work, and they feel pretty comfortable. I typically wear a 7.5-8.5 in shoes, depending on the brand (I wear a size 9 in New Balance Running shoes, which, if you are a runner you will know that it is suggested to purchase 1/2-1full size larger than your normal shoe size). In the past I was fitted to wear the size 8.5 AA(width) in Aravon's. They stretched about 1/2 size larger than what I needed, and they seemed about 1/2 size too big in width before they stretched. The Maura 7.0 AA(width), that I recently purchased, is a bit snug in length and width, but I assume they will stretch a bit, as well. I tried the 7.5 AA (width) in the same shoe style but I felt that they would've been a little too large after they stretched out from normal wear.
Not quite right for my feet. I would have liked more arch support. The fit was great and it was a cute shoe. I have normal arches, just a little pronation, and have had problems with plantar fasciitis in the past. I returned them.
I really like this shoe now that I have it "broken in." I found the shoes rubbed several places on my bare foot so I wore them with socks a couple of times and that softened the straps so they didn't hurt.
I would say I love this sandal except for the squeak that has never diminished over time, and the ridge in the bed of the shoe that doesn't hit the space between my toes and metatarsals well. Otherwise, I'd have loved these shoes.
The Aravon Riley is the most comfortable and cute sandal I have ever owned. I bought them in white and black. They are totally supportive and look good with anything. The multiple strap adjustments are great.
Beautifully made shoe. Worth the price. Sadly not enough arch support for me so I had to return them. Best with shorts and pants I think. As for sizing, I wear 8.5-9.0 and the 9 worked.
This sandal was super comfortable and great for narrow feet. The only problem was that it made small farting sounds when I walked so they're getting returned.
Loved the look of this sandal but had to return because my left foot is wider than my right and the left shoe wasn't wide enough, maybe because it's not as adjustable as other Aravon shoes. So disappointed, but I'll keep trying! Love Aravon (and Zappos) shoes.
These shoes are amazing. The highest compliment I can give them: I didn't think about my feet from the minute I put them on 'til the minute I took them off. No pain anywhere; my toes weren't cramped; I didn't have the feeling that I couldn't wait to get home and take them off. I just didn't think about my feet at all. I wore these for a long night of square dancing with perfect comfort all night. Highly recommend!
Very comfortable and fit perfectly! I have a narrow foot but need space in the front. They even look nice with my slacks, which was a major concern when ordering. This is my first time with this brand. I will wear these shoes a lot when traveling.
I have bought Aravon in the past, but this model is head and shoulders above the previous one I had. The front part of the shoe extends far enough back that my foot doesn't slip around. The strap is wide enough to feel secure. They don't slide around on my feet. And they have the glorious, total comfort I've come to expect from Aravon. My only criticism is that they look a bit clunky under a skirt, but its possible there's no way to design a show that doesn't, and is this comfortable. If you're on your feet a lot and value comfort over looking like a fashion plate, buy this shoe.

We know what you go through, dealing with foot pain. You've tried lower heels. Rounder toes. Thick soles. Footbeds and
