I assume you're looking because a) you like Chelsea style boots, b) you're an Allen Edmonds wearer, c) all of the above. True? Go ahead and break out your credit card and buy them.
First, they are even more handsome in person than in the pictures. The toe is not too blunt, not too narrow. Perfect profile for a dressier Chelsea. Dress up or dress down, works either way (not a field boot like a Blundstone).
If you already wear Allen Edmonds shoes just order away. I wear a 12D in dress shoes and 12D in this boot is a perfect fit with a standard weight crew sock (vs. a dress sock). One thing I particularly appreciate is the absence of crazy awkward folds like you get in a Blundstone or similar.
The boot is remarkably light weight (less than a pair of wingtips) and is apparently rebuildable. Immediately comfortable.
Buy with confidence.

Very light boots. Leather is very soft and boot is very comfortable. Lots of toe room. No idea about durability, but comfort and initial quality is very good.

Love these boots, especially the surprisingly light weight. Minor compliant: Hard but not impossible to get on and the loop is barely big enough for my fingers (which I do not think are particularly fat).

Walked around in them in my house for a few times before I decided to try them at work (airline pilot). First day walking from parking lot through terminal to my flight right boot had rubbed a cut into my right Achilles' tendon. Wish I had not thrown the box away. Now I'm stuck with three hundred dollar shoes. I guess I will cut down the rear some so that I might be able to actually use them.

I was excited when I first got them, especially for the price, but after one season use, the stitching around the opening (the area with the stretch material) came undone. Now I need to find a cobbler to get them re-stitched. This is my 8th pair of AE and by far the worst quality

I have purchased the Tate Chelsea boot in both the black and brown. The craftsmanship seems to be okay. My issue(s) with the black pair is that you can clearly notice that the shoes are not mates. The sizing is completely off even though each boot is marked with the same size. Poor quality control. As for the brown, had to return because the wrong size was shipped. Overall, I would not recommend buying on line but visit a brick and mortar to get exactly what you are expecting or you will be disappointed in the product.

I sent this back. The stitching was off in a few places. The leather was not the best quality and the shoe color was very different when ti arrived - the site pictures are misleading.
Let me add here that I own 4 pairs of Edmond Allen boots.

First pair of Allen Edmonds shoes and right out of the box you can tell they are low quality. The stitching on the back looks cheap and the sole is absolutely terrible. The rubber is like foam. I would not recommend.
