The shoe looked boxy and dowdy on my foot (8.5w). Returned

After paying so much for this shoe, the first I wore it to church, found out the heels or sole is going one sided on both legs and it's not Comfortable at all. Very dissatisfied and disappointed. Wish I can send it back

Ended up with a 71/2 even though I'm usually a 7 - great fit and very nice style!

I have a wide foot. Specifically, my toe box is wide. In athletic shoes I usually order a W (although in some brands I can get away with a standard fit), but in heels and dress shoes I typically require a WW. If a shoe is going to be marked WW, there is really no reason why it shouldn’t fit me. I mean, my feet aren’t freakishly wide – I’m not Fred Flintstone, I don’t have bunions, and I’m not walking around with fins. This is why I can’t understand why this shoe isn’t wide enough. I couldn’t even fit my foot into it. If you’re going to charge $118 for a shoe, you should be generous with the proportions and make a shoe marked WW the appropriate width. I’ve had this problem with Walking Cradles before. I’m never ordering them again. It’s too bad too – Walking Cradles makes cute shoes for the supposedly wide-footed woman, rather than the geriatric wide heels made by many other brands. Oh, well.

I wear a 71/2 D and had high hopes these beautiful shoes would fit. I wore another pair of Rose Petals for my daughter's wedding and they were very comfortable and pretty. Buyer beware: if you have a high instep as I do, the elastic straps are so tight that they could cut off circulation! So back they go
