I've used Zappos for years, and I have always been well served and the products are great. Sizing charts, how you describe the products are right on, they work. And the use of video was a good idea; when I started using Zappos, you did not have videos. I have NO problem trading my money for your stuff.

Dear Zappos, I just want to say “thank you.” I'm sure you can see by my crazy ordering history that I am ordering a lot—and returning a lot! My Mom has Parkinson's disease and is pretty much house-bound. Her poor feet are so swollen, and I am having difficulty finding shoes and slippers for her. The wide widths fit her feet but slip off her heels. Anyway, I will keep trying—I don't mind if you don't mind! I so appreciate your free shipping both ways—it is invaluable. I would never, never be able to shop for all these different sizes and widths. I really appreciate Zappos! Thank you SO MUCH!!

I have yet to get my item, but I must take this moment to let you know that your company has been a delight to be contacted by (proving your rep is deserved as true innovators), to order with, and I'm sure I'll enjoy your products. As an example (short) of today's marketplace . . . two items of another company have cost more to return than their worth, and another major name informed me that although I placed the order through their site, and was billed by them, I guess it was shipped by some association, and I would have to contact the association when the product arrived damaged. You know: the ones I'd never heard of, nor ordered from in the first place. Why do I bother you with this story, because the stark difference in practice and attitude should be rewarded not only with future business, but with kind words, too.

Had to return some Zappos stuff today, and it was a little complicated (returning one order in two boxes, and the second box had a return from another order). I called twice—both times the people were helpful, knowledgeable, and had an answer. I had to return something to a department store today. Their processes are so inept, it was amazing in and of itself, but because I got to deal with you guys on the same day—the comparison is overwhelming. You guys rock normally, and you guys SUPER-rock compared to other retailers. Thank you so much for all your help, and obviously, your great customer service has me choosing you before all others :)

I discovered your website many, many years ago, back when dinosaurs roamed the Earth (a reflection on my age, not yours, although I am a spry 50). For the first couple of years I used your site, I had my husband convinced Zappos was a Greek teaching site (a reflection on my wiliness, not his intelligence) that I used for diverse teaching methods. The jig was up when he received a delivery for me (foiled) and asked me why there were blue shoes all over my “teaching box.” I have never received anything but TREMENDOUS products and customer service from you all. I am also proud to say that I have convinced my husband, three daughters, son, eight siblings, mom AND dad, and about 50 of my staff to become devoted fans of your site. I am the very happy owner of a better pair of black Frye Harness boots—by last Friday, just as you promised. I realize you work with thousands of people daily and most situations are not such a big deal. In this case, I want you to know why it mattered so much. A year ago on September 27, 2012 I went out for an early morning training run with two friends and a dog. We had headlamps, wore reflective gear, and were on the correct side of the road, on the shoulder, where we belonged. A guy who is suspected of already brutally murdering a woman in a nearby community earlier in the morning ran us down with his car, killing my friend, and the sweet dog. The two of us who survived had major injuries and were left to die in the ditch as he kept on driving and fled the scene. After a year, I can now run a little, very slowly and with no pain in the first mile, I no longer need the eye patch that covered my left eye for months as it healed from cranial nerve damage, and am back to teaching, but only half time. The other woman cannot yet run but is walking well, can ride her bike, and is also back to teaching half time. Here's where the boots and your kind helpfulness come in: Just over a week ago I walked into the courthouse with my old, reliable brown Frye cowgirl boots that I have worn as my “secret” weapon when I need to negotiate important stuff with people in power. As I walked down the hall toward the courtroom I realized those boots would simply not be powerful enough. Right then I decided that I needed the Black Frye Harness boots—like my bad-assed biker brother wears. Yes, it is an odd thing to think about at that time, and no, I am not generally very focused about my footwear in such times. Still, right then I decided that I needed those bad-assed boots right away—before the anniversary of the hit and run—so I could have the boots in my closet waiting, as one more tangible thing I had control over in a situation where I have little control. Of course I wore them a little on Friday. And I will wear them other times outside of facing the courtroom. And they will now be one more thing that will help me feel a little more powerful in a place where I need every bit I can get. Thanks for ensuring I got the replacement pair super quick. It mattered very much to me.

Here I am in the middle of a very stressful and difficult move, and I decided to order a pair of water shoes to lift my spirits and remind me why I am moving and what I am moving to—a life back near the ocean where I can kayak every day. I am physically able (I am disabled after being hit by a car while riding my motorcycle) . . . Anyway . . . my Ecco aqua shoes arrived!! They looked AWESOME!! And I had almost three inches of room between the end of my longest toe and the end of the shoe! Darn it all—but then, after writing an email to Zappos incredible customer service team, the ONE AND ONLY pair left (they were on sale—so were moving quickly) that might possibly fit, though 2-3 sizes smaller than my usual, and not even the same color(!) But, alas, my second choice color-wise, the very last one, so I put it in my cart and hoped . . . And then, two of Zappos' incredible CSRs sent me an email that gave me some hope, and I had already packed the LARGE shoes back up to take to UPS asap, when yet another incredible CSR informed me that she had grabbed that last pair of shoes for me AND transferred my payment to the new shoes AND had them shipped out THAT SAME AFTERNOON!! I love the Zappos’ customer service team and the way this company works—just fantastic! I'm still in the throes of packing and preparing to move, but in all this craziness, I'll have those new shoes to remind me of the new life I'm moving toward—thank you all so very much, and keep your fingers crossed that these will actually fit!! 8-D Love and gratitude right back at you, customer service team—you ROCK!
