These boots were very comfortable straight out of the box! I bought them to work in my yard and they are perfect for the job. Color’s ideal for yard work.

I ordered the blue pair in my usual size 8.5, and they felt too snug with thin socks. I need more toe-wiggle room, and have a wider foot. I re-ordered a size 9 and I hope that works well. These are good-looking boots, even if the color was not as bold as in photos. They appear well made with good materials and have serious grippy rubber tread. As with most trail boots, they felt a little stiff, but I think once they're broken in they will feel great. The insole is comfortable memory foam. The boots are shorter than I thought...they hit about 2 inches above the ankle bones.

These were too small to wear with medium weight SmartWool socks, so I'll be returning for a larger size. The toe box felt cramped and the heel was loose, but that's probably because they were overall too small.

I tried these on the first time and didn’t feel any arch support. Thankfully I tried a second time and walked around a bit. I wish they had the traditional hiking boot hooks around the ankle because I worry how durable the eyelets are. Over all comfortable.

True to size

I like the features of this boot, especially for the price. I normally wear a half-size larger in Skechers, but ordered by true size 6.5 based on website recommendation. When they arrived, they felt huge on my feet, so I exchanged them for size 6.0 (which I never wear). The half-size smaller is plenty roomy, even with socks. I appreciate Zappo's return policy for situations like this one.

With foot taping,, this shoe fit comfortably. (I have a rip roaring case of planters fasciitis). I would say that if you wear thick socks, you need to go up a half size. This shoe allows for medium thick socks at best. They are a bit stiff at first, but are becoming more flexible as they are used. I have not tested their water resistance yet. Maybe I can come back and post something about that later.
