Nice roomy toe box that allows your foot to splay out when climbing or descending. The grip has done well on wet runs when traction is a must. Thin shoelaces are not the most comfortable and untie easily. The ankle support leaves me wanting more towards the end of a long adventure. Lots of debris ends up in the shoe if not wearing gaiters. A sock like cuff would make a big difference. Inov-8 high tops seemed to have a better build in the past. The fabric over soaks up any moisture it can find. THESE SHOES ARE WATER RESISTANT AT BEST. Do not spend the extra money if you're expecting any amount of protection from moisture. My feet are wet within 30 minutes encountering dew or snow...forget a shallow creek crossing. This has been my experience with Inov-8 in general. Still my favorite brand of shoes for the trails and mountains. I can wear these for a year outdoors and then transition them in to yard work shoes for another two years....with wet feet of course.

Very good looking shoes but absolutely horrible waterproofing. This shoe model will only last you two months of regular use before the front protective covering starts to rip off. I returned my first pair to Zappos and got a return brand new pair and it was still awful at waterproofing and the same part of it tore off as my other pair. Pretty sad because the shoe looks very stylish but fails miserably at waterproofing and after paying $200 that's ridiculous!

Well the fit was good and did what they were meant to do but here it is a year later and they are torn to shreds. I am a weekend warrior work full-time so it’s not like they were one every day. Very disappointed.
