I have numerous Sheri Slim jeans and ankle pants. I wanted a dark wash, and these are that. But, they have that bottom of the hip flare out, slightly jodhpur look, which is really unflattering. So I'm returning them. Too bad, almost right and great dark color.

I just bought these sheri slims in Quentin in my new NYDJ size. They fit perfectly!! Look really good, slimming, and a very dark wash, tho you can still tell they're blue . With the 14" leg opening, sheri slims are my favored "straight leg" jeans -- more flattering on me than the Marilyn's with the 16" leg opening. Those seem almost to flap around. So, these sit at my natural waist (required) and hit just above my foot. Perfect length on my 5'6" self. Arrived very wrinkled and stuffed into as plastic bag -- but oh well, they're jeans. They'll be fine.

I bought two sizes of this Sheri Slim in Quentin and much to my surprise, the 16 fit better than the 18. The 18 was loose at my waist and hips and created a slight jodhpur look at low hip, which I hate. I expected the 16 to be too tight, but it's very stretchy and fits well. It seems a little bit longer than 31" but okay. (I like 30 or 31" inseam for my full length jeans as I wear only 1" heels. I'm 5'6" tall.) So these dark dark wash jeans are great -- just wanted to fill out my winter collection of colors. Only a tiny bit of sanding right around the knees -- I'd hoped for none. Love that there's no viscose in these -- makes them heavy weight and hot to wear. I really prefer cotton with just a bit of spandex. Come on NYDJ, stop cheapening your jeans with viscose.

I don't know what's going on with NYDJ. I ordered these jeans in 10 (my usual size) and I could not button them, even with the stretch factor. I reordered in a 12 and they are so big that I can get them on by just pulling them up (all zipped up and buttoned). I should have taken a picture side-by-side before I returned them. It seems we just can't count on consistency in sizing any more.

I have many pairs of Sheri Slims and they usually fit perfectly, but these just didn't fit well...as others have said, the side-seams at the hips had this little bit of excess fabric that took away from the slim through the hips look that I buy these jeans for. They were really comfy and stretchy, maybe too much so as they made the waist feel a little too big for the size I usually wear and it felt like I would need to be pulling them up all the time. Too bad, they are going back.
