Customer Reviews New Balance Kids 680v6 Bungee (Little Kid/Big Kid)

Like many of the other reviews, this shoe ripped within two months at the pinkie toe.

I bought these shoes for my granddaughter and they fell apart after 3 months. So disappointed as they fit well and she loved them. Her parents said that it seemed like an issue with the glue. The Velcro straps also came apart almost immediately and had to be glued back together.

I bought these for my daughters school shoes. She started in September and last week we noticed they are falling apart at the seams in the same spot on both shoes. We are completely disappointed with New Balance. Cute shoes but they fall apart

Those shoes fell apart within 4 weeks of time this is simply ridiculous- do not buy those shoes

These did not even last two months. I bought these for school shoes and five weeks into the year and both shoes have holes in the mesh upper already.

Same as other folks said - this shoe ripped out on both sides of the toe within a month or so. My daughter loves them but we can't buy them anymore.

The mesh above the toes ripped within 2 months on two different pairs. Zappos’ customer service was wonderful with the issue, but the shoes are poorly made.

These shoes are cute, but they do not last. Three weeks of school-wear only, and the mesh toe has holes on both sides of both shoes...

These shoes were super cute on my 8 year old. Felt good and looked good, per her feedback. However, I would discourage any parent from purchasing these. See pictures below. It's been almost 3 months and the shoe literally tore (you could see her sock) and have not held up well overall. My kid is not particularly hard on her shoes, just poor quality. I took pictures of the treads so you could see they are not worn. She wears mostly flip flops in summer so this is what happened from average wear. There's plenty of other options in this price range.

These were a replacement for a pair of the exact same type (New Balance Kids 680v6 Bungee) that my son wore out earlier after plenty of heavy use. In general, we love these shoes. Unfortunately, though, this pair tore catastrophically after less than three weeks of use. The mesh upper has torn along the seam on the front of both shoes-- in two places on the right shoe, and in one long arc all along the front right of the left shoe! Definitely NOT what I expect from New Balance. I'm hoping it was an unrepresentative unlucky manufacturing defect on just this pair. (Either that or he did something remarkable to them that he doesn't want to tell me about.) But if it turns out that if other people report the same problem in other reviews, then perhaps you should steer clear. (We're still deciding ourselves whether to re-order them or try something else.)

My daughter has only had these for three months and is not hard on shoes. They’ve been worn a lot, but not doing anything other than walking and running They had a small tear after a few weeks and this is what they look like now. The material on parts of the shoe is incredibly thin.

Cute shoes that started out well. My 8 year old wore these shoes less than two months, not even wearing them daily. No tread wear on the bottom but they are falling apart. The fabric in the bend of the toes are shredding. Completely disappointed in the purchase.

My daughter wore these shoes intermittently to school and other outdoor activities for 2 weeks before they started to tear on the mesh. By the time she had been wearing them for 6 weeks, both shoes and both sides of the mesh were completely torn through. I'm very disappointed in this quality. We have had New Balances for many years and many kids. This particular pair has exceptionally poor quality. We have to replace her running shoes before she even changes sizes.

Cute sneakers, but expected them to last more than two months for the price. Ripped at the seams already-- have to throw them out, sadly.

Tongue slips into shoe no matter how tightly velcro strap is tightened. My daughter dislikes these shoes so much she has reverted to wearing the ones she grew out of. She wore them for a month without complaining to me, so I'm afraid it may be too late for us to return or exchange but hopefully we can save someone else from wasting money on these shoes.

The heel of the shoe is stiff and hurts, the shoe itself has no cushion to it. Very uncomfortable tennis shoe for a kid who runs a lot.
