Customer Reviews New Balance Kids 680v6 Bungee (Little Kid/Big Kid)

We bought these for school. They were comfortable and fit well. However, after three weeks we started to see extreme deterioration of the fabric at the top of the toe box. We were able to stick our finger right through to the sock on both the right and left sides of each shoe. You can see from the picture that the soles are barely worn. This is very disappointing as we have bought New Balance shoes for many years and they usually last for at least six months and withstand a lot of wear and tear in that time, so these shoes are not the quality that we have come to expect from New Balance. I gave two stars because they were comfortable, but quality is one star. Luckily, Zappos was amazing and was able to refund us quickly.

I cannot say for sure about arch support as I needed an XW shoe for my daughters inserts to help correct her flat feet. With that being said we loved that they were stretchy(laces) and Velcro- she can tie but hates to. The upsetting part is we have only had these for maybe two(?) months, I ordered mid/end March and we’re now at the end of May, they are mostly only worn during school hours, and they’re already ripping and falling apart. Very upsetting when shoes are expensive enough as it is. They should last more than 3 months and I’m not sure these will.*her inserts DO NOT touch the areas ripping.

Similar issue as others. Purchased these in April and the mesh around the toe has holes in it by May. Shoes need to be replaced in 5 weeks and my daughter was not that hard on them. Have had precious pairs of similar shoes last until she outgrows them in 6-8months.

They lasted 2 months before the sides ripped apart

My daughter really liked the colors of these sneakers. We got the wide so the shoe could accommodate gait plates which only cover about 2/3 of the length of the bottom of the foot, starting at the heel. These fit great and are cute! However, within just a couple months, my daughter came to me to tell me they had developed a hole near the little toe on the one sneaker. There is one forming on the other shoe, too. I figured it was because of the velcro scraping from the opposite shoe when she crossed her ankles, but it appears to be an issue with the lace-up ones (as reviewed on the New Balance site) as well.

Looked and felt great, apparently, but mesh on top ripped right across after wearing for 2-3 months. Not well designed.

My daughter loved how these shoes felt when wearing them, and she loved how they looked. Then they fell apart 2 months after the start of school. We have bought several New Balance shoes in the past with no problem, but I am very disappointed in the quality of these shoes. Was not expecting to buy a new pair of shoes for school only 2 months later.

Echoing other reviews - there are holes in the mesh side after 2 months of wear. Not the quality we expect from New Balance.

I bought these for my daughter who prefers New Balance because of the way they fit. She loved them and said they were very comfortable. However, like many others, the sides ripped within a month. I’m guessing it’s a design flaw on these.

Mesh tore within only three months of purchase. Very poor manufacturing quality.

These shoes were cute and comfortable - BUT they got holes in the top after 2 months. My daughter loved them so I bought a second pair after the first ones got holes thinking it must have been a fluke with the first pair (I've never seen a sneaker tear on the top). The same thing happened with the second pair. :( Her next pair of sneakers will not be New Balance.

Shoes are cute and comfortable but they only lasted a little under 2 months. The mesh at the side split even though they were hardly worn.

These shoes have been great until they weren't. In two months time the fabric by the toes ripped on both sides on both shoes. Turns out this seems to be a problem for a lot of people. I would not recommend buying this shoe. You'll have to replace them in no time.

My daughter is very picky about shoes and she loves these. Unfortunately, like so many other reviews have said, they have worn out in about 2 months- holes on both sides just like the pictures.

Unfortunately these shoes only lasted 3 months for our 7 year old. She wears these about half the time and sandals half the time. I just saw that there are big holes right on the outside of her foot at the base of her 5th toe. Frustrating to buy these shoes and have to replace them three months later. We have bought New Balance before and they've been great, but clearly need to get something that'll last a bit longer.

Daughter loved these shoes and they were good and supportive for gym class. However, as others have noted, after a few months of wearing them 2-3x a week large holes appeared in the mesh on top of the shoes, an area that doesn't usually contact anything! A shame they destined for the trash now, since the rest of the shoes including the soles looks practically new. Never had an issue with other NB shoes, but very disappointed in these.

These shoes looked great and felt great for my 6 year old. However, after only SIX WEEKS, she had massive holes in the mesh in the front of the shoe, making them unwearable. Terrible for $50 shoes. I will not buy any New Balance shoes that have mesh on them again.

These shows literally shredded. Her toes are exposed on goth sides and both shoes. Shocked these did not make it through the first semester of the year. Really disappointed
