It was a good fit.

Daughter thought that it squished her foot to to bottom

My daughter has tricky feet. Alas, these didn't fit quite right. The toes were too big, but the ankle part felt too small. The velcro strap was too high up on her foot/close to the ankle, and was uncomfortable.

Great kids shoe

Very hard to push feet in, and pretty narrow.

We like New Balance for our kids that have wide feet. This model is supposed to be good for keeping their feet aligned properly but the only downside was the Velcro strap is thin/not wide enough and the leather separated from the Velcro after a short time of use. My kid is active so the sneakers have wear but I wish the strap was made better. Other sneakers I bought at the same time to try were not keeping her foot in the correct position, she was sinking inward. NB is great but for small kiddos that can’t tie laces yet but are independent, need more quality checks on the Velcro closures.

My daughter has very small and very wide feet. There are hardly any styles to pick from. This style was one of only 3-4. These are wide enough but the tongue of the shoe is not wide, so it doesn’t fit and wrap around the top of her foot properly.

Great fit, style, and design, except for the ultra-thin material upper mesh that others have shown to be destroyed in a short period of time. We expect the same to happen but are extremely limited on “acceptable” options that will actually be worn. At least expectations are set appropriately and we can devise a repair plan for the inevitable. Really appreciated the true wide width across the entire shoe. Very accommodating to wide feet.

We loved these when they arrived. Cute, fit great, and no breaking in! She put them on and was off and running. They were plain enough to go with everything, but still cute to satisfy my 5-year-old's style. The major drawback is we ordered these shoes in March and she started wearing them in April, it's mid-July now (so about 3+ months of consistent use) and they are a wreck! The tread is ok, but the mesh is FULL of giant holes, and tears. Our daughter is not hard on shoes, and we are usually able to sell/donate shoes once she has outgrown them, so this has never happened. I am so disappointed in the quality of New Balance!

My kid has extra wide feet, so Zappos is the only option. Her feet are size 2 extra, extra wide. So I ordered 3.5 extra wide. Theses barely fit. She wouldn't let me return them because she loves the style (and threw a fit at the suggestion). And fashion is more important than comfort. I remember those days, my feet still hurt from bad decisions. As will hers. If you are ordering this, order at least two sizes bigger and don't expect it to be as wide as it says

I bought two pairs of NB, one size 5 and this one, to grow into, size 5.5. Turns out this pair was smaller than the size 5. What the heck? So size up at least a full size and it should be ok.

The tops of these shoes really fell apart, I can already see socks through it.

We really wanted to like these (we ordered two pairs) BUT the lacing (which you can't adjust) was way too tight and caused a minor blister through her socks. We would've kept them if it was all lacing or all velcro. I always get New Balance for my kid cause they have great support, just not this style.
