Poor quality. Mesh tore in toe box on both sides of shoes. Lasted less than three months.

Holes ripped in sides within 2 months

Super cute and the sole is wearing well, but the netting near the toe ripped after a month of wear.

We purchased these for a back to school shoes. By mid-October, we have holes ripped in the netting. Our last pair of shoes lasted a year (my kids feet do not grow quickly!) so it's not like they wear through them very quickly. Now seeing other reviews with the same issue - this is a definite problem with these shoes. Beware - they will not last under normal wear!

My kid wears size 2xxw, which doesn't exist. Too wide for regular stores, so we order through Zappos. Unfortunately I don't know what we will do now. We ordered 3.5xw. It is a little smaller in length than other 3.5. and it is a lot narrower than xw. It's regular width, at best. Don't order this shoe if your kid needs wide. Find something else. My kid loves the color and style, so she thew a fit and exchanging it. Her feet will hate her later, but I guess that's part of growing up

My daughter has very narrow feet. I had her feet measured before ordering but when we received shoes they ran large.

Only lasted three and a half months before the mesh on the sides of both shoes tore.

These lasted 1.5 months before developing holes in the fabric.

My daughter loves these, but both shoes developed holes in the fabric almost immediately. The holes have continued to get larger, and the shoes are basically unwearable. You can see the photos here of both the left and right shoe. I have never experienced this before with New Balance and I've very disappointed.

I cannot believe this! I came back on Zappos to order another pair of these, thinking my daughter must have done something strange and torn the mesh on the top of the shoe (never done before!) - only to see other reviewers say the same thing! There is unfortunately a defect with these and I SO wish I would have read the reviews first!

Ripped after only a month of almost very limited wear with holes on the top side of shoe. Total waste of money, very disappointed, thought Zappos stands for much better quality.

After no time at all, these shoes completely fell apart. Holes formed big enough for several toes to fit through (and she had just been measured by someone at NB so that wasn't the issue). They're just made terribly. I've literally never seen a shoe that disintegrated like this so quickly. We bought NB sneakers for my son at the same time (beginning of this summer) and his are falling apart too. Highly recommend avoiding these. Don't think we'll be buying NB again either.

Always but the xtra wide and they are just wider in toe area which is perfect for my daughters slightly wider foot! No break in time. Perfect fit year after year. I love that I can buy 1/2 sizes also if I choose to.

These are for my 11 year-old daughter whose feet are now bigger than mine! She says they are super comfortable.

These are so cute. My daughter loves them! They’re easy to put on in the morning for school.

This shoe is great but runs smaller than other shoes of the same size. The Wide width seemed normal in width.

The velcro helps the feet to put on very easy.

This is our second time buying this shoe, this is just the next size up. Fits the AFO and SMO great.
