I received this boot this afternoon and tried it on right away hoping I'd love them. And I do! The fit is perfect. There is ample room in the toe box and I can wear thicker winder boot socks and the fit is fine. The toe box is rounded and spacious which is noticeable, but doesn't detract from the look. I haven't worn them outside or walked in them for any length of time to see how they feel yet. Foot comfort is important and I expected that from Walking Cradles. The leather is medium grade and soft enough. For the price, this is expected. I am very happy with my purchase.

These are my new favorite boots! Really happy with style, fit, and quality. The leather looked a little scuffed along the shaft, but since it's leather, I figured this was part if its natural beauty.

I have a difficult time with footwear sizing. I have flat feet and a bunion on my left foot. I first purchased a pair of boots that I really liked the styling (Earth Moraine) in a 8.5 M. The toe box was more narrow and pinched my left foot. Had to return them. Since there were not a lot of choices left in a 8.5 W, I ordered the Walking Cradles Kristin. While more expensive, they were worth it for the fit and comfort. Plenty of toe wiggling room. They are also waterproof which makes the boot shaft a bit more stiff. If you are looking for soft buttery leather these are not that, but for me living in the PACNW having waterproof boots that look and feel good was far more important. I am 5'4 with 14.5" calves. The boots come just below my knee. I have no problem zipping them up even with pants tucked in. There's no gap at the top. The boots have virtually no arch support, but the insole is only lightly glued down so it can be removed. I inserted my own custom orthotics on top of the insole. Be wary of buying less expensive boots if you want to have them for years. The leather on my previous pair tore in several places on the back of the boots just above the heel after only one season. The Walking Cradles seem sturdier so hopefully that won't happen.
