Hiked 6 miles in Moab through rivers in dusty 95+ degree weather. Did 3 rappells of 20', 75', and 120'. That trip converted me to sandals

I wear it everywhere... kayaking, the beach, biking, to town, to church. Comfortable and looks good too. Stands up to getting submerged in water.

These are the most comfortable Tevas I’ve ever worn. The straps have a nice padding sewn in. I love them!

From the moment I put them on, they were comfortable. I have worn them five days in a row and they feel great. The sizes are a bit off. I wear a size 8, but the size 7 was perfect for me. I would definitely buy again.

Great multi-use sandal. Simple design. Love the way you can tighten the straps for incredible fit. Feels like part of my foot. Lots of support in all terrain.

Fans of the Hurrican XLT/XLT2 will not be disappointed. Other Teva sandals may be lighter and easier to get on and off, but the Cross Strap fastening feels more secure in bonding your foot to the rugged and protective XLT sole. This one is not going to come loose under any circumstances.

I bought these sandals because I have always wanted a pair of quality sandals. I was tired of my sandals slapping me in the heel. I first tried them on in Sun and Ski Sports while browsing around. Before seeing them I already had a clear picture of what I wanted my sandals to perform, look like, feel like. I tried on a size 8 and instantly fell in love. I knew these were what I was looking for, but I still checked out all the other sandals. The Chaco sandals seemed sturdy but were heavier than what I wanted. I tried other Teva Hurricane 4 sandals and did not like how the plastic pinched my foot. So I went back to the Hurricane XLT 2 Cross Strap, which has straps that cover the plastic parts and feel really comfortable of toes and the top of the foot. I will say that I did try the size 9 and discovered it was loose and horrible for me. I would suggest that you try the sandal before purchasing if you can to make sure it fits you right. I will also say that I have a wider foot, which the sandals fit well. Also, it was a tight fit at first (which is what I wanted), but since I have owned it for a month it seems to be breaking in nicely and are still secure.
Note: I am a student, so I purchased it from Teva because of the student discount after I knew the size I definitely wanted.

In the short time I have owned these sandals they have quickly become the most comfortable and versatile ones that I have ever owned. I put my sandals to the test and they are passing with flying colors. They do it all and offer happy feet in the process.

Instant comfort, no break in required. Easy adjustment with no noisy velcro! An upgrade over the original Hurricane XLT because the plastic connectors that occasionally dig into your toes are covered with a soft material. As with all Teva sandals go down a half size. I wear 8.5 to 9 in most shoes but size 8 is perfect. The dark olive looks great. Zappos did their usual excellent service.

I ordered the sandals from Teva online. The footbed could have a higher arch support for me. The straps are fully extended and my foot just fits in. It took 3+ weeks for me to receive the sandals.

These Teva's comfort and performance did not disappoint. They do live up to the Teva brand. I really prefer the look and feel of the cross strap. But the sizing was off. My size 9 fit me like a size 10. I still ended up keeping them because i didn't want the hassle of return order. Even with the larger fit, these Tevas was still comfortable out of the box . No break in time required.

I wear a 13 but ordered a 12 ... the fit is fine ... but ... my footprint fits too far back on the sole ... there IS a lot of room on the sole to move my foot forward, but I can't because of the lack of an adjustable heel strap. I think if I had ordered a 13, the "vacant space" in front of my toes would have been bigger and would have looked MORE ridiculous. They are a little difficult to get on, but it's not so bad as to be a deal killer. A longer strap over the top of the foot would have made it possible to loosen them MORE so that they would be easier to get on [and off] and a valcro strap behind the heel would have made it possible to move the footprint forward on the sole. Otherwise: I will wear them and may adjust to these differences.

The straps are super comfy and i feel good wearing them. The heel straps are just a little lower than what I'm used to, but overall a great sandal.

As other reviews mentioned, I ordered down 1/2 size- size 11 from my normal 11 1/2 to 12. They fit fine. The sandal have decent arch support which is why I bought them. Also as reviews mentioned, the strap is too short. When wearing the sandal, it barely comes past the buckle. Decent sandal- however- WAY overpriced for what you get. But that is the times we live in.

I am a woman who in the past has sometimes bought men's shoes to fit my wide/high volume feet. The foot bed of a size 7 was too long for my women's 8.5 size feet while oddly enough, the straps were not long enough. Width was great, footbed comfortable and i liked the color. The nice wide cross strap design felt like it would hold my foot securely on rough terrain. Too bad there is not a size 6 I could try.

Keen used to be my go-to brand for sandals. But they no longer sell the style I bought last time and I couldn't find a comfortable fit in the current styles. I am a fan of the toe protection that the Keens offer, oh well. I have to say, these sandals have a nice level of comfort; just the right blend of cushion and support, very comfortable to wear all day. That alone is a winning quality. One odd thing though: the main strap at the buckle doesn't have a lot of extra length. I wear mine a little loose as I don't like the feel of a tight strap across the top of my foot. I could imagine that some people with a higher instep or wider ankle could would not be able to loosen the strap enough to fit comfortably. Luckily it worked out for me.
