Great sweater, fits great, long sleeves. Love the pocket on the chest to zip my phone into. The pockets on inside are not zippered and more like loose pouches. But all 3 external pockets are zippered which is great. Real warm, but will need a windbreaker over it if you plan to go in the wind. The wind cuts right through this thing.

I purchased this as a gift for my boyfriend. He had a wool shirt he used as a light layer and a puffy down coat he used as his more robust layer, but he did not have anything for casually in-between. This was perfect! All I can say is that he was very happy to get it. The fit is perfect and true to size. Lots of zippered pockets to keep valuables secure.

I am 6', 198lbs, 36 waist. I purchased a medium and it fits perfectly. The jacket is well made and extremely comfortable!

Great jacket and fits really well on my core but, holy cow, the sleeves are about 4-5 inches too long. Took it and had the sleeves shortened and it's been my go to ever since.

First time using it, temp.. high 20s/low 30s. Nothing but it and a synthetic T-shirt, pretty much had to keep it half zipped to not sweat out of it. Awesome! 6'2 205lb large fit perfect with room to layer

Super rugged feel. It's so warm that I find myself wishing for snow so that I can wear it out. Wore to the dog park yesterday in 49 degrees and windy with no sun. I was toasty warm. I am 6 ft 180lbs and typically have a more slender athletic build. Many times I am between a medium and a large. A medium fits me dead on perfect in this item. Sleeves are good and long. Important to note that although this is called a "fleece" it's not like your father's fleece. This won't pill and has a really tight outer layer - the fuzzy fleece is on the inside.

I wanted a medium-light layer for our chilly Maine mornings but also something that I could stow away easily as the day warms up - which this jacket does. Its material is somewhat thick, but still breathable and extremely comfortable. The chocolate brown color is great and somewhat unique in that precious few manufacturers produce garments in this color. Thanks to the other reviewers here who warned that the coat runs big - I sized down and so, instead of my usual "medium", I got a "small" - which fits my 5'9" 150 pound frame perfectly.

Extremely comfortable. Can be worn as jacket or sweater. I wear a large in most smartwool products, but a medium fits me for this. The arms do run slightly long.

This sweater fits me perfectly (5'7" & 175lbs). It's very warm and certainly hold its own in the elements. I have used it for several hiking trips in Canada and have zero complaints :)

Got this for my husband for Christmas, I don't think he's taken it off since. Much nicer looking than polar tech, fits him perfectly (he's a classic medium) and the cut is flattering. The sleeves are a tad on the long side, but that means they'll go over a light sweater underneath. The recycled (!) wool fabric is light but dense, great for keeping the wind out. Finally, the color is beautiful, a dark chocolate brown, less red than shown on the website.

It's winter in Michigan and I've worn this every day since receiving it. I did buy a wind/waterproof shell to wear over it and it keeps me comfortable so far in temps from 30 to 0F. Without the shell it still keeps me warm if there's no wind but any wind at all goes right though this. I knew that so no disappointment there. Really an excellent product!

I got this sweater for my son, who is choosy about what he wears. I'm hoping he will like it as much as I do.

I really like this sweater because it is a great fit and keeps me warm. I wear it nearly every cold day as part of a layer system (with an outer shell). It works great to keep the heat in, but if it's windy, you'll want a shell too. I made a few mistakes with this: 1. I let my dogs near it. It attracts dog hairs really easily and they don't come out unless you use tweezers or a wool brush. 2. I ordered the Loden color because black was out of stock and it looked black to me. It's green though, but fortunately I love the color. It's fantastic and warm. I highly recommend it.

I now use this as my go to outer layer almost everyday. It is warm but comfortable even when word inside. I like that it is made from recycled wool, and would recommend it to anyone considering a quality wool sweater. I like that it is a full zip and that it looks stylish as well.

Most awesome "fleece" I have ever owned AND will not pollute oceans with tiny plastic fibers like fleece. Go sheep!!

This is a high quality, well fitting product which is well represented by the picture. Works well as a base layer or an outer layer. Only reason we didn't give five stars is the fabric - would much prefer a higher % of merino to synthetic fibres.
