wanted to wear these under pants but they are too large and loose at ankles. Thinner than my old chillys so I must have ordered the wrong style. scratchy waistband. returning.

I use these as a base layer for skiing and they're loose enough that I can wear them over leggings, but not too loose I can't wear them on their own without them looking too baggy. I like that the ankles are looser so I can wear them above my boots. I went with a size small for 25" waist as I don't like too-tight waistbands. It fits perfectly - stays up without being too tight. I don't find the waistband scratchy and I'm sensitive to that sort of thing.

These are just the right weight. Fit perfect!
