Well worth the extra cost. Fills out shoe well and keeps your shoes like new.

This product works just as I needed to. Well built. May order another one different size.

I've used half a dozen different shoe trees and these are by far the best ones ever. The option with the knob allows me to get them out of the shoes super simple and also back in the shoes super simple. Worth the extra money.

I purchased three sets of these shoe trees. The large size fits my size 11 shoes just right and the metal knob makes it easy to take the tree out of the shoe.

I purchase these trees with every Johnston & Murphy pair of shoes I buy. My oldest set are about 15 years old and they work as well as the newest set purchased about a year ago. They ensure the shape of the shoe is maintained. Just slip them in and let them protect your investment. Just like the shoes, you can not go wrong with this purchase.

I tend to buy shoe trees from the same manufacturer as the shoes I wear. These are great, the tension is perfect to keep shoes true to form and the addition of the small knob make them easy to install/uninstall. The only problem I found was a couple of small burrs on the side that needed to be filed smooth to keep them from rubbing the inside of the shoes. Overall a great product and I will be ordering more for every new pair of Johnston & Murphy shoes I get.

Have about 4 or 5 of these many of which have lasted nearly 10 years. Quality cedar construction, built to last. The knobs are incredible useful & worth the extra expense.

I like my shoes, and I keep them forever. I have very good shoes that are 40 years old and look new. My typical shoes are $400-$1200. I've looked at lots of shoe trees, and the best JM model is far superior to anything offered by any other source.

Overall nice, but they need to use larger chrome knobs. Like the older shoe trees

The product works like most shoe trees. My only issue is that there is no expansion of the front part. This means that any folds in the leather of your shoe are not pulled out. This creates an issue of potentially creating permanent creases in your shoes. Other than that, they work fine. I do appreciate the rise on the tree which supports the lace area for polishing.

I am a size 10C. I have been a loyal customer for decades. Suddenly the new trees (Chrome Knob - expensive!) were not fitting into many of my shoes. I just discovered that the sizing matrix BYPASSES Size 10C!!! This means I have to GUESS for each purchase! This is CRAZY - I have a very average foot size!!! In 45 years of buying trees, I have NEVER come across this before.

I've ordered these several times before, but the shoe trees in my latest order were larger than those I received before. Were they mismarked or is this the new standard for Large? Customer Service didn't know. It's a wonderful shoe tree, but if the size is questionable I won't order them again.

I purchased 4 pairs of these all for JM shoes and Size L just doesn't fit their 10.5 standard width shoes. I'm going to see if I can return them. Also, as mentioned in other posts, the knob is too far forward which makes for a difficult use of it to remove the tree from the shoe. Very underwhelmed given the price of these.

The chrome knob is placed in a less than adequate position, which makes it harder to remove the shoe tree. The knob should be placed further back, towards the heel of the tree, to ease it's removal.

Chrome knob threading was stripped. Sizing is not consistent, purchased for size 9 Medium, it did not fit my J&M size 9 shoes.

I have several of the chrome knob shoe trees from ~20 years ago that will last forever. They were always my favorites on the market. But now I can't find one pair that's not either split or severely misaligned. I have bought 8 pairs In the last 2 months, all of which had to be returned. The cedar still looks great, but the construction of the metal components has caused the splitting of the wood or misalignment of the trees (i.e., twisted or the front and back portions being at different heights, so that they don't fit into shoes, despite being the correct size). This is clearly due to poor quality control. If the QC issues are ever resolved, I'll be back to buying these trees, instead of the trees made by their competitors.
