Really nice quality, a little unusual (in a good way!) with the subtle check pattern, and also, as has been said, flattering slim fit. In fact, I think it's a little too fitted at the armhole and pretty tight under the arms if you have a sweater on. Of course, that's part of the sleek look of it. Also, I'm 5'8/125 lb and usually wear a small jacket, but I definitely need a Medium with this one. (I tried it on in a store first so I knew this upfront). That one bit of tightness is the only reason I deducted a star.

I love this jacket! I just wore it for the first time today while running errands. It's very practical, comfortable, and cute! I bought it to wear on rainy/ nasty days for when I need to walk to my office. As the other reviews stated it runs small, so definitely go up a size when you order. Also consider this jacket isn't insulated so you'll have to layer up when you wear it. I have pull over North Face I plan to wear with it on super cold days. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend this jacket.
Brands I'd also recommend: North Face

I usually wear a medium size jacket, but the medium was too tight in the arms and upper chest. I am 5'8" and average weight. I also work out and am broad shouldered. The large is just right. It's a little roomy but I like that. The women's styling lines means it's not boxy looking. I have the "brick red" which is a misnomer. It's not Brick red at all, which I take to be a warm medium-dark red. This color is medium red with blue undertones; definitely a "cool" red. I haven't worn it in heavy rain so can't testify to its water-proof abilities. One reason I chose this is other reviews have said it is very waterproof but doesn't have the Gore-Tex scrape-y noise to the fabric, and I'd agree. It's nylon but not stiff. It does have the brand name on the sleeves, but overall, it doesn't look like a ski/sports/camping parka, and I can wear this to work (informal office) over slacks. It isn't very warm, no insulation but there's room in the large for me to wear a fleece jacket or vest underneath. Hood comes off, a great feature and when on it covers your face well. The pockets are the only con. They aren't that big or deep and if they had been set forward another inch it would be easier and nicer to have your hands in the pockets while walking.
