Super sturdy boots, and comfortable!! I was looking for a steel toe, comfortable, unassuming boot for field training. I originally purchased a size 8, only to reorder a size 7.5. I'm often in between. Personally I would suggest ordering smaller if you are between sizes. They take a little while to break in, and once they get more pliable I am still able to wear boot socks for a comfortably snug (not tight) fit. I LOVE these boots! They lace down snug and gave me a sure footed feel. After breaking them in a bit in the house, I wore them for a CERT field training day on a cooler, slightly rainy day. The boots kept my feet dry and sure footed on multiple surfaces as I walked through puddles, mud, on cement and wood. These are my first true work boots and they have met my expectations. I will have them for years, no doubt! I am typically between 7.5/8, flat footed, regular width (though I like slightly wider because of my flatter feet). Shoes that don't work tend to have higher arches and lack a snug fit across the top which compensates for my flat feet. The build of the boot allows laces to tighten to the foot for a snug fit with high or low arches.
I like everything about these boots. Excellent styling and fit. They felt broken in the first time I put them on.
Bought these for work at a food manufacturing facility. Picked them because they're waterproof as well as the required steel toe, and also slip-resistant, oil-resistant, and rated for electrical hazards - all a part of my work environment. So far they haven't disappointed. With daily wear since I bought them, the only obvious signs of use are a few scuffs on the toe. The material helps make those look less apparent too. So far so good. I wear them even on my off days sometimes. It's hard finding a work shoe for women that's built for us and lasts, so I'm eager to see how these wear over time.
I bought these boots about two weeks ago, and have worn them maybe 6 days. I thought they were quite comfortable, but I looked down at my foot today and was astounded to notice that there is a hole them where the sewing separated from the fabric. Even as a seamstress I'm not sure how to fix that, nor how to explain why relatively light wear would result in this kind of damage. Sadly, I must chalk it up to poor construction, and the materials not being quality. Maybe stick to Keens from now on. Rather depressed about this, they fit so well!
I have had these boots for over a year now and while they are so cute and I get lots of compliments I also get horrible blisters!! The heel area is weird. If I use mole skin it helps. Be prepared for this as it seems everyone has noticed the heel issue. If you have to do a lot of walking prep the heel of the boot, if not they should be fine. They are also very heavy since they are steel toe. I am determined to make these more comfortable since they are so cute.
Been where if them for 5 years now. Only thing is wish I would have gotten the steel toe but that’s my bad. Great boot. Zappos as always is the coolest. You don’t even know.
Very plain boot. Looks better online than in person. Some neat design characteristics but overall quite plain. Not an especially comfortable boot and I would likely have to put an aftermarket insole in it but since they seem to run a half size large, there would be adequate room for that. Expected it to look like an old school work boot based on the pictures online but just didn’t cut it especially for the price. Leather quality is especially good but sole is very average. Would look better with a larger lug type sole that is thicker and deeper.
I have been looking for a replacement for my Timberland Pro Rigmaster work boots (inside heels wear out). Unfortunately these did not work for me. Size was good but too much heel slippage. Ultimately went with Carhartt Rugged Flex work boot.
I have been wearing steel toed boots for work for many years now. These are undoubtedly the most uncomfortable boots I have ever worn. The back of the boot has multiple layers of thick leather and it feels like there is a steel rod rubbing against my heel and lower calf. It will likely not become more flexible after a few wears. I also found them to belackinginarch support. They are stylish and otherwise true to size, but I will be returning these boots.
My heel just fell off! It's been just under 2 months with light use and the heel came loose as I walked to work. Zappos was very helpful in providing a new pair right over the phone. I hope the new pair doesn't fall apart. they are quite comfortable and they look pretty good. Fingers crossed.
