The Iconic Ugg Meets A Larger Than Life Artist
Ugg, the iconic maker of suede shearling-lined boots, doesn’t have roots in a cold climate.
Although their signature shoe can keep toes toasty in the winter, the brand was conceived by an Australian surfer, who then sold the rights to fellow surfer Brian Smith, where the boots gained popularity along California’s southern coast.
An icon in his own right, artist Kent Twitchell has created over 100 landmarks in Los Angeles through his supersized murals. Over the years, they’ve become icons, too; perhaps even more so than the artist himself.
Twitchell wears the lace-up Ugg Neumal Boot; designed like a chukka with that famous luxurious lining. He embodies the lifestyle of his stomping grounds in Southern California, just like the brand he represents.
