Possibly the most comfortable boots on the face of the planet and the bright red color is lots of fun. BUT I didn’t like the crinkly patent leather (looked like plastic) and it didn’t go up high enough (about mid to low calf). Would work great as rain boots but all of La Canadienne are waterproof and i considered keeping them for fun but at the end of the day I just didn’t need these.

Very nice soft leather boot, however, if you plan on wearing a thicker sock, you may want to order a half size larger. I ordered these for my daughter and she feels like they are a little small in the toe area. She normally wears size 8 in sandals, 8 1/2 in closed toe shoes. I ordered 8 1/2 in these and I will be exchanging for size 9.

Beautiful boot, absolutely loved the look but unfortunately my feet have issues and they were just too high of a heel. For a younger foot I think they would be incredibly comfortable for all day wear. Hated to have to send them back.

I loved these boots1 they are beautifully made and exactly the style I was looking for. however, once the boots were on , they were super tight around the ankle area. I don't have thick ankles, but the way the suede is cut at the ankle, there is a seam there and it was just very tight, i g felt like I had a rubber band around my ankles.. Maybe over time this would stretch out, but I did not want to risk it for the price...

These are beautiful boots, worth every penny. I feel they run fairly true to size, maybe just a little big which would accommodate a thicker sock. However, they are pretty narrow in the toe box. I have a narrow foot but these were just a little snug for me. Wish I could find a boot with a narrow heel & normal sized toe box.

I didn't want to like this boot because of its price but I LOVE them. They are a nice, trim, waterproof, winter boot with a nice fake fur lining and I intend to wear them all over Paris. Additionally, I am thrilled to have a boot made in Canada instead of China. Do go up a half size if you want to wear a warm sock with them. The foot area is not as warm as the shaft and there is little padding to the insole. I received my normal 7 1/2 and while they fit they are narrow and a little tight with an angora wool sock , so I am going to try the 8. I will report back which works better. If you have a wide calf these will not work for you. My calves are very slim and they fit closely (which is a big plus for me). A slight down point is the rubber soles. They are very plain, almost ugly. I would prefer something a little nicer looking and more springy since their is little padding in the foot bed and no room to add a liner. The rubber outsoles on my Rieker boots is more attractive then the ones on these boots. No one will know how much these boots cost by looking at them . Are they worth it? I would say yes since I love them and I am keeping them they seem so well made and perfect for my needs to be warm and stylish. I prefer them not rolled down for a little dressier day look

Hands down, La Canadienne "Blanche" are some of the best boots I have purchased: comfortable out of the box, stylish, and practical. They look great dressed up or down and, more importantly, they kept my feet warm and dry and easily pack into my backpack carry-on. I agree with other reviewers that these boots are a better fit for those with slim ankles and calves. Usually, boots are a little wide for my petite frame, but these boots fit perfectly.

These really are the best snow boots. I tried many others and come back to these. I wear these boots with black over the knee socks and leggings or denim skinny jeans and look very cute. Throw on a wool blazer and outfit is upscale casual. These are great for Chicago type snow and walking and not sliding in the snow. I have a hard time with balance in the snow and these are great. I tried on Bajar and Blondo and these are still the winner for me. I prefer that the boots did not slouch down as much but, it is less noticeable with the knee socks.

La Canadienne is my go to winter boot choice and I usually wear a size 8.5 in this brand although I do have at least one or two pairs that are a size 9 to accommodate an (over the counter -- drug store/Target) orthotic insert to deal with my (narrow side of medium, narrow heel, and very low vertical volume, e.g., zero padding on top side of feet) typical foot-slide in most boots. I ordered these in my usual 8.5 and while they fit they were not comfortable, which in my experience is very atypical. My arch had no contact with any part of inside of shoe. I tried with my OTC insert and that addressed gap between arch and foot bed of boot but created other "fit" issues.... I will reorder in a size nine and see how the fit is with non-custom orthotic but they are too pricey to keep unless the fit is super comfortable.

I am heartbroken that I spent $450 on these--my most expensive footwear purchase ever. For that price I should want to wear them 'til I die. They were a bit tight to start, but after a few days they stretched a bit and I could feel my heels start to 'settle' into their proper position above the shoe's heel. Then…they just kept on stretching. And stretching. After a couple of months my feet were just sliding around in them, and they hurt even more than at the beginning. I literally cannot walk normally or without pain while wearing them. I have normal-width feet with no foot problems, so I don't understand how things went so wrong with these boots. Sadly, I'm in no hurry to make another La Canadienne purchase.

I got this model of boot several years ago and barely wore them, because it doesn't rain a lot where I live. But the last time it did, I put these on, stepped off a curb and immediately my feet were soaked -- the boots had completly cracked at the ball of the foot. Zappos couldn't do anything and I contacted the manufacturer and they shrugged their shoulders. I threw them away, and I would not buy another pair of these very expensive rain boots.

Loved everything about these boots BUT, one year later the soles are worn out and the boots need to be replaced. Expensive boots for one year of use.

I hesitated due to the price, but I was looking for a waterproof motorcycle boot and finally gave in. I LOVE THESE BOOTS! They are SO comfortable. They have the combat style but are form fitting and feminine on my feet. I don't think I will wear them on my annual trip to Sturgis because I really don't want to ruin them riding through the torrential rains we sometimes encounter. I purchased a pair of Clarks waterproof boots for the trip. The price was a little painful, but totally worth it.

These are beautiful boots. The upper was stylish and hugged the calf nicely for a sleek look. However, the footbed needed much more cushioning. The boot was tight over the top of the foot and the leather around the ankle was stiff. Sadly, I had to send them back.

These are likely the most comfortable boots I've ever owned. And they're absolutely gorgeous in person. I ordered the brown and they're just beautiful. ...And warm! Perfect for colder months, especially as they're waterproof. I'm usually a size 8.5 and ordered the same. They're a bit roomy but that allows for a thicker sock without sacrificing any comfort. You won't regret buying these!

These are cute and appear well made, but what I liked most is that they are one of the few pairs I have found that doesn't have a huge gap at the top. They fit nicely around my calves. The problem is they feel more narrow and long than most boots. I am between a 6.5 and 7, and usually order a 7 if I plan to wear socks. This 7 was much too long and the width felt too tight. I wanted to switch them out for a 6.5 wide, but that size was out of stock.
