Putting Our Stamp On Personal Emotional Connections

Credit card statements. Utility bills. Jury duty summons.

Let’s face it. Mailboxes are the bane of everyone’s existence. Unless you’re getting a birthday card or an invitation to a friend’s wedding, more often than not your neighborhood mailman is the bearer of bad news. But your Monday thru Saturday deliveries don’t have to be sour grapes.

At least, that’s what Zappos has long believed.

For years, Zappos has been documented to go above and beyond the call of duty for customers. Whether it’s having an 11-hour conversation, ordering a piping hot pizza, or sending a care package to an overseas soldier, creating personal emotional connections (PEC) is something our company cares about deeply.

This even includes the personalization of greeting cards!

With email, text and instant messaging apps overtaking today’s way of communicating, there’s still something to be said about the intimacy of a handwritten note. Yes, even in 2017.

Maybe you’re graduating school, getting married or having a baby. Whatever the occasion, Zappos wants to recognize your accomplishments and celebrate your story worthy moments. That’s why our Customer Loyalty Team sends out nearly 13,000 greeting cards per year, straight to our customer’s mailboxes!

With an abundance of in-house talent, our illustrators create cards for a myriad of special occasions. Birthdays, anniversaries, baptisms and holidays are just the beginning. We even lift spirits with cards of sympathy, get well and thinking of you.

"I love the fact that my artwork is helping bring customers and employees closer together," remarks Ashley Vaughn, who drew several of the designs shown above. “It’s surreal, humbling and exciting. It makes me happy to see people get excited by the artwork I create.”

If you've been recently WOWed with a PEC card, let us know which design you received in the comments below!
