My son is on his second pair of these. He is a skateboarder who doesn't know how to tie laces yet, and there aren't a lot of options out there. These shoes fit the bill quite nicely. One thing you should expect is that the shoe will be really stiff when you first get them; my son said they hurt the first few days, and then after that they were really comfortable.

My son loves these sneakers! He reports that they are very comfortable and I believe they fit well, although he will not allow me to tie them. They run true to size. We did not find this with the DCs we purchased, although he loves those as well. Order bigger for the DC.

This style was my son's first pair of Zoo Yorks, and they got us hooked on the brand. They are extremely well made, with a cushiony tongue and extra side stitching, not to mention ridiculously cool looking! Had they not become too small, they would have lasted a whole calendar year. We were able to donate them after he outgrew them, as they were still in reasonably good shape (even with the wear & tear of a 3rd grader). Do not hesitate to choose Zoo York!

These awesome high-tops are my son's 3rd pair of Zoo Yorks, and the brand has never let us down. They are well made with a thick, cushiony tongue and solid sole. Zoo Yorks will survive even the most active little boys! They also have great support on the sides due to the piece-y stitching. Do not hesitate to choose this brand, or this particular style. It's cooler in person than in the picture, even!

Terrific shoes! I purchased these for my 9 year old for the start of the school year. He doesn't usually wear "skate shoes" as he thinks they are uncomfortable, but really likes these. He wants to wear them every day. He says they are super comfortable and gets tons of compliments on them!

Eye catching - Very cool shoe, my son just loved them when he saw them. He takes tae kwon do classes and thought they would look great with his uniform when they due performances outside of the class.

Swell shoes! Shoes look just like picture. Fits well and so far it is comfortable. I usually have heel problems, but these shoes seem to give my heels the Support and comfort they need. I absolutely love the vibrant colors and the black and the white shoelaces add to the coolness factor.

Zoo York Shoes - My son won't have any other shoe. He is hard on his shoes, but these shoes NEVER fall apart. They last until his feet grow and I have to buy another bigger pair.

Christian thinks they are cool! My six year old son thinks these are cool and says that they are very comfortable. He does wear them to play but not the type of shoe for school (A Conservative & suburban opinion I'm sure).

Very wide - My son loves these shoes, but they are very wide and slip off. You can NOT adjust the straps. I had a seamstress fold the straps in half and sew them that way and now the shoes do not slip off.

Nice shoes - I loved these tennis shoes. They were for my granddaughter. True to size...she goes for these ones because there are no laces and are very comfortable.

Alex's Shoes - We never go wrong with Zoo New York shoes as they are a wider shoe that seems perfect for kids with a broad foot, but not quite a true wide.

My son liked the shoes. The day after he got them he got caught in the rain. After getting wet it did change the look. Kind of misshaped. Other then that no problems. I love Zappos. Only place to buy shoes.

Alex's Shoes - These shoes were purchased for our Grandson. Whenever he needs new shoes, he just goes online and picks out what he likes and we do the shopping. He loves these shoes and they don't show dirt as they are mostly black.

Great looking shoe, but VERY WIDE! I ordered this shoe in about 4 different sizes for my 10-year old son. I had to send them all back as they were all too wide, and he doesn't have a narrow foot.

About Zoo York Kids
It began during the 70’s in New York City with those who lived, breathed and instinctively chose the city itself. Within NYC’s miles of streets running east to west and avenues stretching north to south, there is a colorful weave of world heritage, flavored influence and people who each see it differently. Eventually, there was an allurement amongst a few who funneled their creative energy into a movement known as the “Soul Artists” of Zoo York. Germinating from Riverside Park on the upper west side of Manhattan, this crew built a scene in the north east based on exploring the city with aerosol cans, wheels and the need for freeness in the street. During the 80’s “Zoo York” was purely a phrase repping NYC’s underground what we today have categorized into graffiti, skating, punk, hip hop and their influenced off shoots. By the time the 90’s came around the name Zoo York became a network of skaters who lived by New York’s evolving hip-hop and graffiti scene kicking off the design and manufacturing of relevant product. Zoo York children and adult footwear thrives off of this melting pot of ideas and styles. Today, Zoo York’s continually growing Zoo Crew includes original NYC graffiti artists, new and old school skateboarders, as well as talent from the worlds of BMX, motocross, surfing and snowboarding. Zoo York youth footwear has already made an impact on the scene with its avant-garde styles and street sensibility. Zoo York kids has made an impact and will continue to do so in the future. The product line is still a hybrid of military and urban athletic with ties to hip-hop, punk and heritage displays of city imagery.
