Love the Zojirushi Breadmaker. My bread turns out perfectly every time, and pizza dough is a breeze now. Wait till you try Risotto on the "Homemade Cycle" Jam setting...takes all the hassle out of standing over a hot stove stirring every few minutes. Great product -- you'll love it.

I really do love this machine. It takes all the hassle and uncertainty out of bread making, and I can make a loaf of nutritious, additive-free bread for so much less. However, Zappos just came out with a new model which should solve the problem of crust quality that can happen with this one. Although it's more expensive,I would buy that one if I were buying today.

We love this bread maker, it's very easy to use. It's the first one we have had...but seems to work great. It makes little loaves that are great for a small family.

I received this as a gift from my daughter, she has one and all I can say is if you are a tea drinker you will not be disappointed. Beautifully made and very convenient. Sure you can boil water on the stove for a lot less but the three temperature settings and constant supply of hot water is worth it.

I was a little skeptical at the price for this, but I was tired of broken leaky tupperware so I took the plunge. This item really delivers. It is compact, but fits plenty of food for someone with a normal appetite. The containers are sturdy, and all fit in the thermos sleeve. The thermos fits in the bag with room for a bottle of water. The spork is also sturdy and nice. The bag is durable and the whole thing is just a really nice package.

Nice bread maker - bread comes out lopsided, but it works well and tastes good. Don't think it is worth what I paid, but I do like it.

NP-HBC10XA 5.5 Cup Induction Heating Rice Cooker & Warmer Posted: 8/17/11

Overall: Rated:5 stars! Comfort: Rated:5 stars! Style: Rated:5 stars!

I have been wanting a rice cooker for over a year, and finally took the plunge. This is easily my second favorite kitchen appliance (next to my espresso maker). Not only does it make white/brown rice to perfection, it also makes wonderful steel cut oatmeal, legumes (such as dried beans and lentils), and one pot meals. While I've always made rice on the stove, I've never been able to achieve the exact texture I like: light, fluffy, rice that separates and doesn't stick. (This machine does it effortlessly!) The greatest thing about this machine (and others like it), is the ability to set the timer and leave, and have perfectly cooked food when you are ready. Each night before I go to bed, I add my steel cut oats, and water, turn on the timer and wake to perfectly prepared oatmeal. The machine keeps it warm, so when my family wakes up (at different times), I can serve them warm fresh oatmeal. Once the oatmeal is done, I clean the unit and add my rice or legumes and spices, set the timer, and it's ready for dinner. This is the perfect kitchen appliance for busy families with after school activities and sports, when the kids come home starving! (This is when many families will sacrifice good nutrition, to quickly feed hungry kids.) I was torn between the 3 cup and the 5.5 cup size and ended up with the larger to ensure I had leftovers for lunches and enough rice if we had guests. I don't regret the 5.5 cup purchase, but I also now realize that we eat small portions, so the 3 cup would have served our needs just as well. (We are a family of four, and our serving sizes are usually around 1/2 cup of cooked rice.) The 5.5 cup will make up to 8 US cups of cooked white rice and about 4.5 US cups of cooked brown rice. (Rice cooker cups are approx. 3/4 of a US cup, rice makers are based on uncooked rice in the rice cup measurement.) Having researched rice cookers for over a year, this one is quite expensive in comparison to other models, but I chose this one for the many menu options, the timer, stainless steel interior (pan is stainless, with Teflon coating), and it's made in Japan - not China like some of the other models. I am sure I could have spent a lot less and still have been pleased, but those models are made in China, have aluminum interior lid, aluminum coated in Teflon pan, and not induction. Those differences, mainly the thought of aluminum around my food, kept nagging at me, and I decided the more expensive model was worth it. The features and quality of the food makes the price easily justified in my mind. (We buy our grains and legumes in bulk at the health food stores, which cost a fraction of eating out or buying processed alternatives; adding to the value of this cooker.) I don't think of it as a rice cooker, it's a kitchen robot that prepares a variety of food at the push of a button, prepares food at the specific time you are ready to eat, and keeps it warm without concern of it drying out for hours. Simply awesome!

I had my old Breadmaker for 10 years and when it (finally) broke I did some research and bought this. I bought it from Zappos because I knew I'd get it the quickest and sure enough it came the next day. Love Zappos! It's quiet, easy to carry and doesn't take up a lot of space. Most recipes out there are for 1.5 to 2 pound loaves so tweaking was a challenge but well worth it. I bought a Zojirushi rice maker years ago after running through a bunch of cheap ones. Great brand.

I have both the Mr. Bento and the Ms. Bento. Use them for my kids lunches and love them. Now they can eat homemade, healthy, hot food from home. (For hot lunch: Just fill the outer container with hot boiling water for a couple of minutes, then empty the water and put in the individual jars. For cold lunch: fill with ice, put in freezer for a couple of minutes, empty ice, fill with containers.) We hardly ever use plastic bags anymore, it's great. Plus they have already lasted one school year and I expect them to last throughout. If a piece gets lost, you can order a replacement my contacting Zojirushi direct. (I've replaced a couple of the spoon forks - no problem.) I bought different lunch totes so we can also fit a water bottle and an additional piece of fruit. By the way, if you check out the Zojirushi website or call the company, you will find that the plastic is BPA free. I don't know why they don't advertise it but it's true. Too bad the first reviewer returned it not knowing...I couldn't be happier with the purchase! (Deserves 10 stars!)

I love my Ms. Bento! I bought it so that I would cook more food to take to work for lunch, not just buy lunch or make boring sandwiches, and it has worked! There's plenty of room for whatever I want to bring along, and although I haven't tried keeping food hot, it stays cool for hours and hours. The one thing I didn't realize when ordering is that it is a little heavy because of the thermos/insulation, but it's not unreasonable. It's easy enough for me to just put the whole thermos into my bag for work and forget about it.

This is exactly what I have been looking for to help me eat healthy when I know I will be in a place with no healthy options. I am frequently at meetings in someone else's office for the entire day. When we break for lunch, a burger or unhealthy sandwich is usually the only option. Now, I can take my lunch with me and not worry about it spoiling. This keeps cold things cold or hot things hot for hours. It is perfect.

Love it. This was bought for my 10 year old son who uses it on school days when my son does not like the menu. He has used it already 5 times and absolutely loves it. Yes it does take some time cleaning and preparing it for the food that you will be using but the end product is the reason why I bought this product for my son. It absolutely keeps food very hot.

I've been using mine for almost a week now and so far my experience has been all but positive. True to what Zojirushi says, the two bottom bowls keep food hot for hours and the top ones room temperature. Of course, after 5 hours, it's no longer piping hot but still more than hot enough to enjoy the food. I like the four bowls Mr. Bento offers because they offer variety, portion control (not to mention, more balanced diet) and creativity (never enjoyed leftovers as much). True, it can be bulky and a bit heavier than a plastic food container but then again I'd rather carry that weight in a stainless food jar than in my own body only because I used to grab expensive sugar and salt laden unhealthy food at the airports and hotels (I'm a flight crew) all the time. The carrying case also makes it less conspicuous although I think it's a nice-looking jar. I just wish Zojirushi made the jar more grip-friendly using only one hand. I have to hold mine with two hands all the time but considering the health and economical benefits it brings, I really shouldn't mind it. Also, there's no part in the instruction leaflet that says that it's BPA-free, however on their website it does specify that it is BPA-free. Well, if you guys would like to save money by taking with you healthier and more delicious home-cooked meals and save calories by pre-planning the portions of your food (I only emphasize this because I successfully lost 25 lbs and would like to keep those off by eating more sensibly), Mr. Bento might also be the answer to your questions. It takes more time preparing food and cleaning the containers but in exchange for healthy eating and more money saved, I will never complain! Besides, it's really fun to assemble your own food in this food jar and it's slowly becoming like a health ritual for me. It's a bit pricey but mine will have already paid for itself after this week.

bought Ms. Bento for my wife - she needed something classy and cool, instead of the regular polyester/plastic-lined lunchbox that she was carrying around. To be honest, I didn't expect much when I first got it (despite the raving reviews). Some people said that the clips are too weak, etc. It seems to me, however, that this product was very well designed and won't break anytime soon. There is a container for stuff that doesn't need to be kept hot/refrigerated (which is a nice plus), as well as a thermos-like compartment to keep food hot/cold. It's very solid and impressive overall with just enough room to fit a healthy lunch. Highly recommended!

Maybe I didn't look closely enough. I assumed stainless steel meant all of the containers inside and out. The only container that had SS was the large one on the outside. The plastic is not BPA free and my whole reason for buying SS. I am returning for that reason only. Look like great containers in all other ways.

This grill has been outstanding and perfect for the winter months and no opportunity to grill outdoors. Cooks evenly and mostly lives up to the Zojirushi quality. Sadly, the nonstick surface has started to flake off. Owing to the dangers of contaminating food and air with the nonstick chemical, I have to discontinue use and seek a replacement. So, about four month's usage prior to problems. (Comfort & Style star ratings have to be adjusted for non-shoe items - I am very pleased Zappos carries these coolest kitchen things, however. I was 5-stars through and through on this until the nonstick surface failed.) Also, Wow! Zappos just out of the blue offered to ship this overnight at no additional charge. You guys are terrific.

I am disappointed. After reading all the reviews, thought this would be the greatest. But not so. My old breadmaker made better bread. I am considering a return. No matter how light I set the crust, it is too dark - despite putting the same ingredients in the same way each time, the bread turns out different. A huge disappointment for the price.

I found the Ms. Bento to be the perfect size for a lunch and snack. The container, when prepped properly, will keep the bottom two containers very warm or cool throughout the (8 hour) work day. The carry bag is large enough to hold the Bento and a bottle of water and just tall enough for a pair of chopsticks. The Bento is a great for those working on portion control. It can carry just about any kind of lunch, from fajitas to pizza (cut up into bite sizes), to soups and trail mix.
