Zengara Reviews
These are great make sure you get a long metal shoe horn not easy to get on until you get the hang of it!
These are great shoes! They do smell, but that wears off quickly. This is my second pair of the same exact shoe. This time around I was not impressed! The Heel Loop broke after two months. And now the Seem split on the right shoe. I had the last pair for two years and had to replace them because I wore out the sole. I wore them everyday for work. This pair lasted nine months same wear and tear. NOT Impressed. But then again for the price I cannot complain that much. I am going back to Cole Haan, and Kennth Cole.
These are not very comfortable, but it is a dress shoe after all. The laces are much too long. However, I really like this shoe.
Cheap, daily use budget shoes that I'm very happy with. They started off extremely stiff and didn't breathe at all - but I stayed with them, and a week later (longest break in ever) they're soft and breathe normally. Good purchase.
I enjoy the Zengara; it's both stylish and durable. Great shoe for casual wear and professional environments. Thanks.
Looks great at first but breaks down quickly, leading to a poor look and finish. Upper is hard, takes a few wears to break in and is a little painful at first.
Theses shoes have a loud, hard heal. They felt a bit chunky in the heal also. They look ok, but the heal wore out quickly and is really loud on hard floors or concrete pavement.
These shoes are pretty okay. If I was shoe shopping in a store I would have tried them on and not gotten them. In this case, I was in need for shoes and these were good enough. Size, definitely slightly large for me. However, I feel with an insole it might be perfect. Style, definitely a good style. I wear these to the office in a suit and the shoes are great for that. Comfort, it's taken about a month to finally break-in the shoes, so it's better now. Even then, you can tell that the makers skimp on the inside in order to get this great price point. It's not terrible, definitely not great. Again, an insole could help. Other: I had no issue about smell. I was worried about it from all these posts, but in the end the shoes smelled like normal shoes.
Good looking shoe but the smell from the sole was horrible. It gave me a headache. I had co-workers call me out on the smell of the "burning rubber". I even had a couple that used to sell shoes immediately recognize that I had bought "cheap shoes". Also, did not breathe well. Well, I tried. Sending back to get the ECCO's.
The loop in the back that helps the foot slip into the shoe broke off within 2 weeks. Invest in a higher quality shoe.
You can't go wrong with these; reasonably priced, comfortable, and classy. They double up for both work and a casual night out with jeans.
Tough to beat for the price. Stylish, simple, a little uncomfortable on the inside top of the foot, but that could just need to be broken in a little more.
In less than a month, some of the seams started coming apart. I was disappointed with the quality. I ended-up throwing this pair out after wearing it only a couple of dozen times.
Good style and price, but way too narrow and a little stiff. My feet are smashed inside. Hopefully the leather stretches a little, but I'm not counting on it.
The fit of these is not bad, I have no complaints - otherwise I wouldn't have bought them in the first place. However, the reason why I decided to go out of my way to rate these is because I believe the materials used in these shoes are susceptible to and promote shoe odor. Now, you say..."that's a matter of opinion and for all I know, your feet just stank!" Two things: 1) I tend to be obsessive about hygiene. 2) I have a number of dress shoes of other brands that have seen a lot more usage than these, and have not this problem. I bought these shoes back in December 2010, and the best way to describe this odor is a strong "new shoe smell," which escapes the shoe, even if you're wearing them! Sitting at my desk I can smell it, and it drives me quite simply nuts. I suspect that these shoes are awful breathers...as the feet do get noticeably more hot and sweaty, reacting with the materials (upper portion of the inside, I believe), giving the end result. The only reason I wouldn't rate these a one is because they do look good and fit well. But the odor is a deal breaker. Using some Odor Eater insoles at the moment. Will report back later with the findings.
These look great and are comfortable to wear at first. My only complaint is the poor ventilation on the insoles. Can't keep them on for more than an hour or so!
I'm currently on my third pair and have just purchase a fourth. Great style and OK comfort. Comes with a strong smell right out of the box (some might find it pungent). It breaks in well and looks just great. Price is right but quality is so-so (however, it is still better than a lot of other more pricey competitors). Best of all, it fits my wide feet very well. I'm very happy with these shoes.
