My 8-year old daughter loves these shoes (she has the black and white version). Picture is a little creepy for me, but not too bad!

Love these sneaks!
My son loves these sneaks. They look cool, he loves how they fit, and I, as a Mom, love that they last. As for another reviewer complaining about the sharp piece in the heel cutting into her son's foot...that happens when kids don't untie the laces and always slip the shoes on and off. Now that I make sure my son put's his shoes on and takes them off properly we don't have this problem. He ruined one pair of sneaks this way, now we know better. It was the kid, not the shoe.

So Disappointed!
I ordered these shoes at the end of August 2008 for my 8 year old son based on the reviews they had received. He was very excited about how they looked. They arrived quickly, as usual with Zappos, however within THREE months of normal wear; one of the shoes is totally unusable. The inside area of the shoe where the back of his foot sits against has lost its padding and fabric covering and the sharp edge of the plastic molding is exposed. I have no doubt it would cut the skin on the back of his foot if the shoe was worn in this condition. We are both disappointed greatly in this shoe -- my son because he loved the cool graphics on them -- me because of the money I spent on them. :-( I would have given a lower score is I could have. I don't think I'll be trying this brand again.

Shoe Arch: No arch support
These shoes look great. My son loves them. However, I am VERY disappointed with them. I purchased these shoes in the middle of August and they are already worn out. That is LESS than 2 months! He doesn't even wear them every day! Poor quality!

Cool enough for Sam, so-so for Mom -
I have a 7 (going on 14) year old boy who wants to look cool like the older boys in school. These shoes seem to fit the bill. As a Mom, though, I don't feel they are very supportive. They slip off his heel and the sole is totally flat. I guess that's what boarding shoes are all about-the flat bottoms. Call me square, but these shoes aren't very practical for an athletic kid like mine.

Son loves them!!
My 9.5 year old son loves these sneaks. There hip and have cool graphics. He also tells me that they are comfortable which is most important and he really liked the brown vs. black.
