Leather is very soft and supple and is a great looking boot for work or casual wear. Great comfort, light boot, absorbs shocks and returns energy due to the individual compression pads. It's like walking on air. Haven't had them in the rain as of yet. If that's as good as everything else about this boot then I think they will be able to handle the rain just fine. Washington State Rain that is. Buy them, you'll like them. They will be your favorite boots.

I love this boot! I wear my boots 10 hours a day. These are extremely comfortable and have good arch support and the sizing is pretty accurate. These will hold up to heavy use.

These are by far the best and only boot I will wear as long as they continue to make them. They are so comfortable from the very moment you put them on they don't even feel like they need to be broken in. A great boot you will not be disappointed.

This is the first pair of steel toes I’ve ever bought. I was first drawn to them because they look so sharp. But then I put them on... they’re great! I’ve been wearing them every day for the last 3 months and my feet feel great all day long. They have a really nice cushioned sole and they have great upper support. An excellent boot all around.

I have only had a few chances to wear these new boots so far. They appear to be very well made with excellent quality leather and stitching. Their style is simple and makes for a very attractive work or hiking boot. They fit accurately in length. I will say that they are what I would consider a wide D width and have a very generically shaped sole insert. The insert they came with does not work for me and I am trying various others to find the best support for my foot. I am definitely keeping them and will consider trying another Wolverine product down the road.
Brands I'd also recommend: Red Wing and Chippewa boots

Most comfortable work boots I\'ve ever had. Very durable and comfortable from the first time I put them on. Wolverine Durashock is all I\'ve worn for a the last decade and these new Contour Welts are even better.

Very comfortable boot right out of the box, heavy as one would expect from a leather work boot. I wear these virtually every day and usually walk the dog at least a mile (often 2 or more miles) each day, on city sidewalks as well as hiking trails. They are still comfortable but after 2-1/2 years stitching in the uppers has started to come undone. This is the second pair of Wolverine boots that has done this after several years of use, but the first to do it before needing to be re-soled. I would buy again. I have a high instep and wide feet and love the width of these boots.

The price was a bit high. The boots fit very well, look good and for now are standing up to all the work the oil field is throwing at them. Went fishing the other day and the mud and water did not seem to harm them in any way. Comfortable and does not seem to get my feet hot!

These are very nice boots, but the lining material really holds onto odors. I don't think that my feet perspire any more than most guys, but these boots stay in the garage when I take them off. I've tried washing the inserts and lining, but that didn't help much.
