These boots were comfortable right out of the box. There is no break in period with Wolverine boots, as this is my 4th pair of steel toed and EH rated work boots. I have other brands, namely Red Wings and Sketchers, and they are OK, but I have found Wolverine products are better. Zappos is quick with the shipment too. Can't tell you how the return policy works, because I have never had to return an order.

Comfortable boot; the tongue is a little stiff when new, being waterproof it's a bit warm. The speed lacing makes for easy on off. Plain style, but a nice work boot; I'd buy it again.

I purchased these Steel Toe Boots for my husband. He was on a job site and I had to have them sent to the hotel for him. They were over nighted for free, thank you, Zapoos. He claims this is the best pair of steel toed shoes he has ever owned. They are light weight. His last pair was a pair of Doc Martins. He has to work in dry and wet conditions and the boots have held up wonderful. The insoles do come out if the insides get wet and they do not smell. He has worn these shoes for about four months now and says he will buy this brand again and recommends to anyone looking for a good steel toed shoe.

I bought these boots for my husband for Xmas 2010. His old boots made him limp when he took them off. He's been wearing the Wolverine daily for 7 months, I noticed the leather on the toe started to wear...but he says they are the most comfortable boot he's worn and he doesn't limp when he takes these off. I would have to say these are tough boots if they lasted him this long and only have worn toes!

Great boot, got them to replace my last pair of Wolverines that lasted 6 years. Hopefully these do the same. They took time to break in, but once they did, it's smooth wearing.

I ordered these boots sight unseen for my son who lives 2500 miles away. He received them very quickly and reported that the size (13) is spot on, and the construction is excellent. He wore them continually for several days and said they are very comfortable right out of the box.
