Not a summer boot - What the description does not tell you is that these boots are insulated. I cannot figure out how much insulation, but they are pretty thick. This would have been nice to know before I ordered. I work in Afghanistan and these boots will only be suitable from Dec to March.

Received these as a Christmas present and they fit perfectly and fill the bill for an overall winter boot. I wear them to work as well as walking the dogs and winter hiking on snow and ice.

These boots were the perfect gift for my husband. Right away he noticed that they aren't heavy like other boots he has worn before and he loves the multishox, specially since he wears then all day long to work. Id say it was the perfect buy!

I bought these boots as a gift for my husband after he complained of cold feet while working outside. He loves them and tells me they are warm, waterproof, and comfortable. They are easy to slip on for walking the dog and have enough support for more serious work. He thinks the quality and comfort are superior to more costly boots he has owned in the past. Zappos is the best. I ordered these two days before Christmas and could not believe they came in time to put under the tree.

Good wide boot and quite comfortable for standing 6, 7 hours on your dogs. I was not impressed with the weight though.
Brands I'd also recommend: Almost any American made wide width

These are the boots I've been looking for. They are comfortable and they look like a real boot; sturdy and strong. The best thing is they are waterproof. The sole and stitching are both excellent quality. Worth the price.

These are very warm, and very waterproof. I have had these for my second winter now and they are great for trudging through fairly deep snow. After a big snowfall last year, I wore them for over an hour while snow blowing and shoveling my driveway and my feet stayed completely dry and warm. The traction, comfort, and durability are also excellent. The matte leather is not the most stylish, but that is not really what these are made for. I would not recommend them for prolonged periods above 50°F degrees as your feet might get too hot. Although even if you do sweat a bit, the lining is very good at wicking away moisture.
