Loved the euro-look of these shoes for travel and walking. So disappointed because they ran almost a full size smaller compared to other brands.

I was disappointed to have to return these. They are a practical walking shoe with a touch of style. I particularly liked the striated markings on the side sole area. The rounded heel gives you a bit of a buoyancy in your step which I thought I might like. Usually I can wear a B width in an oxford because I can cinch it up enough for my narrowish foot. Not the case here. There was no room to do that in the lacing and the heel was just too wide and I do like more of a padded cup there. I tried a Scholls insert which helped with the width but nothing could be done for the heel. Another thing is that the sizing on this shoe is different. I 'always' wear a 38 in European sizing. The size chart for this shoe put me at a 39. I talked with Zappos who talked with Wolky who said to go with the printed chart. While I didn't have confidence, they were right. The 39 fit correctly in length. I would say if you were on the wider side of a B width this shoe would still fit you. And order up from your usual European size.

I was looking for walking shoes that had sturdy sole but did not look bulky on my feet. These shoes are exactly what I wanted. They are simple, stylish and modern. The leather has this beautiful aged look that makes these shoes look expensive. The soft satin grey complements almost any color in my wardrobe. I love these shoes. They are expensive, they look expensive and they feel great on my feet although the leather is somewhat on the hard side. Very happy with this purchase. Besides I love the great service Zappos always grants its clients.

Although this shoe and leather is attractive for its type, the heel counter of this shoe is very soft which means it is less supportive and less durable than other comfort oxford shoes. The shoe runs small in length.
I'd also recommend: Keene, Merrell
