Overall:

I like these sunglasses because they keep my eyes protected with their wrap-around style. I especially use them for outdoor activities as they don't fall off easily. The unisex style gives a super "cool" look, and I have gotten many compliments! I recommend them for their excellent eye protection and great styling!

Hello, I am in the military and have extensive service in other countries. Several years ago, my unit was issued Wiley-X ballistic sun-glasses. We use them for our job, and believe me, work is good and busy… Our glasses keep our eyes dry, and they keep the windy sand (gee, maybe you know where we are stationed...) out of our eyes. Very important in the work we do. These are the best glasses I have worn in a long time. They might actually save my life someday. I like them so much, I picked up a pair while on leave.

I bought these for two main reasons: They look badass and they meet all sorts of fancy-pants, Mil-Spec, government standards. Well, if they're wearing these, I've got another reason to keep our brave troops in my prayers. Within three months, the rubber cladding on the temples and side pieces shredded and tore off. Leaving me with some nice, hard, plastic pointy bits behind my ears. Thanks, Wiley. Then there's the cool, foam seal that protects you from dust, sand, wind, mustard gas and God knows what all. That tore away from the mounting even sooner. Thanks, again. At least breaking that facial seal solved the chronic fogging! The lenses, which are all kinds of cool colors (and you can swap em! So they're like mood rings!) are a pain to change. Keep in mind, I'm not talking about combat failure. I'm a civvie, a rather sedentary one and these glasses were done in by riding the Chicago Green Line Train. This is a shame, since they look so, so awesome. I wish they were better. It's entirely possible I got the one bum pair and that my experience ain't the norm. But I ain't about to chance 90 scoots on another pair to find out. Caveat emptor!

Classically stylish, beautiful dark blue color. Solid construction. Sturdy protective case. As usual, very fast delivery from Zappos. The frame length seems a bit long, so when I wear the sunglasses, they stand out from the head. I'm Asian and have high cheekbones, so the bottom of the frame (underneath the lenses) leaves indentation on my cheeks. Otherwise a great purchase, especially if you don't have high cheekbones.

And they look cool, too -I bought these sunglasses, because I heard that Carl Edwards wears this brand. I thought they looked cool, but little did I know that they would fit perfectly, would be lightweight, and be comfortable. And they do look cool, too.

Perfect - I ordered these for my fiancé you loved them. I have a few pairs of the Wiley X sunglasses and they are great!! Hard lenses to scratch. Very good quality!

Love them - Extremely comfortable for me. I like to try out glasses beforehand, but these fit great. I really like the photochromic feature makes it very convenient (though it is a little pricey).

Good for the price - These are nice fitting good looking glasses. I was weed eating and got a very slight scratch on each of the lenses. It is hardly noticeable but I think it is the slight mirror finish that is actually scratched and not the lens itself. But I hope this doesn’t keep happening and make a nice pair of shades like these look cheap. I am happy with them but I am going to spend more next time and get Ray Bans - glass lenses.

Delightfully different!Have had several other pairs of Wiley-X shades - these are a bit different, being a bit blockier and the 'maple' color vs. all-black frames. But still a fine product and the polarized lenses make a heckuva difference. Great price on a fine pair...

Great glasses for a great price - Awesome pair of glasses + quick shipping!! I have dropped these more then once and they do not seem to take wear and tear very easily, which was the original reason for buying them.A+.

These sunglasses are great for boating and the convertible. I have really sensitive eyes and these glasses keep the sun from coming in between the glasses and my face. They are perfect for outside activities!

Larger than they look.Surprisingly large, so they fit my big head well, (7 5/8 hat size). Very comfortable and light. They stay put well and have been very scratch resistant so far. The interchangeable lenses have been of very limited usefulness, but I suppose it is nice to have options. I don't like the case and will probably end up getting a different one. The provided cleaning cloth works well too.

Sunglasses - Although they say these are "unisex", I found them to be a narrow fit. As a female with an average sized face I expected them to be larger and find them a bit "tight" fitting. Love the style, great lenses - otherwise great.

Didn’t work for me - I actually bought these glasses to have something to protect my eyes from the winter wind when I walk my dog.I was disappointed with them. They are too big for my face!! Not what I really expected.I have an average size face for a woman. Maybe they are better suited for a male? Sadly, I have to return these glasses.

Glasses for Bike; Not for Hike - The Wiley XL-1LA is the small version of the Wiley earpiece goggles with transitions lenses (dark-to-light). I bought them (1) to ride on my moto, and (2) to wear as sunglasses when off the bike, and (3) do these functions day and night. Well, two out of three ain't bad. As bike specs, these Wiley’s are great -- exceptionally clear, fast changing with light conditions, and wind blocking because of the rubber bumpers around the lens. The ear pieces are soft and pliable, but they hold fast without causing lumps or pressure under a helmet. It is a relief to put on motoring glasses under a helmet without squashing my hair because of goggles straps. But as walking around sun glasses, they get immediately hot because of the wind buffer seal and, even though they are only medium sized, they give the wearer that Alien-look from outer space. So, Wiley’s may not be the best overall glasses for every use, but they are great on the bike and even for short strolls around town once you have biked there. But I would not want to spend a day on the beach sweating inside these lenses nor would I want to scare away children by appearing to them as the Moon Creature.

Wiley X Brick review - I own several pairs of Wiley X glasses and these have the same quality as the rest. The tint is perfect, not too dark yet the protection is there.One of the best looking pair of glasses I have.

Perfect - These glasses are the perfect addition to any military uniform. Even now that I am out of the Military, I use them all the time. You really can't go wrong as long as you are wearing these extremely comfortable glasses.

For tiny faces - I had to return these, they are very narrow and looked silly on my face. The rigid nose piece doesn't allow for flexible adjustment to try to find a better place on my nose. Disappointing, I did get to see the lenses change promptly when pulled out of the box into the light, if only it was in a better frame.

Wiley X Eyewear CQC - These have been worn with the clear lens and the head strap. The side shields were not used. They were comfortable all day. They were used in air soft games involving a lot of running and jarring, but they stayed nicely in place. I have not had any fogging issues yet. I received them the next day from Zappos as promised.

On Convoys in OIF - This eyewear is great! I immediately put them to use on convoys in Iraq for the protection they provide. I found this eyewear to deliver great performance. They were very comfortable even after tightening the straps to keep them from falling off. Even after tightening onto my face, I had zero problems with fogged up lenses. I felt very secure in knowing that the entire eye was protected and my peripheral vision was very-very minimally limited. This eyewear feels and looks very safe and comforting. And the best thing and the main reason I purchased this eyewear is that I did not have to do what fellow Soldiers have to do....in the middle of a convoy and as darkness falls upon our locations...soldiers have to swap out lenses on their eyewear...with these I just continue mission without that inconvenience or danger of concentrating on this task. If I had to get picky, I would have preferred a matte black finish rather than glossy black. The light adjusting is just dark enough...perfect tint...not transitioning to very dark. They come with two sets of straps and both provide comfort. The eyewear is pretty sturdy and made of durable material. I highly recommend them.

Very Cool for a Motorcycle - I was looking for a decent pair of sunglasses that would go from clear to dark for riding on my cycle, only found one pair that would work on bikes that was not glass and it was a set of cheap goggles that a cycle dealership sold, I hate goggles. Then along came Zappos email! I first purchased from them this year and was impressed by their return policy, I saw these and ordered a couple of sets after reading about them, and wow nice, a little tight on the head so hopefully that will loosen up, but you cannot beat the clear to dark, it really works and works well, you are like the terminator when they go dark, but when clear who cares what you look like cause it will be at night, they make you look like a guy with goggles on, ugly...But who cares I hate getting off the bike and putting on another pair or the idea of switching...
