Wiley X Eyewear Reviews

I bought a pair of these glasses and they are amazing for motorcycle riding. They seal off excessive wind from eyes and the light adjusting feature means you only need one pair off glasses for all riding conditions. Word of caution, put on the neck strapp that is supplied with them, the first set I did not do this and lost them at high speed.
These are not what I expected at all. I've worn Ray Ban, Randolph Engineering, Maui Jim, Costa Del Mar, and even Oakley. All of these feel and look a lot better than these "Slays". But these Wiley X shades felt ridiculously cheap. I know they are ballistic grade, but they frames feel like junk (picture gas station sunglasses). The lenses are not dark at all. What seems like a dark lens is not. People can see your eyes through the lenses. Also... ade in Taiwan? I thought this was an American Made product (considering the military attachment), but they are made in Taiwan. Sorry Wiley X, I'm sending them back.
Well made, nice design, very comfortable, some annoying light reflection on lenses. Zappos' customer service and prices are unmatched; my favorite online store!
With my name being Wiley, I always go with an X matter and WileyX Romer's move in the color, look out.
I have had several pair of Wiley X glasses and wear their goggles while riding my motorcycle. These Hydro Polarized are very light weight comfortable and the lenses are stunning. Zappos is fantastic!

From the ER to the shooting range, an amazing set of eye pro. Tough as nails. They don't scratch.
Great glasses from Wiley X! They fit very well with or without the foam gasket in place. The frames are very solid, and the lenses are durable. The only potential downside is that the lenses are a little too light on very bright days, but that is to be expected with any light adjusting lens. I've always been a fan of Oakley, but these are my new go to glasses for riding! The iridium coating that Oakley uses on their lenses is great, except that it scratches and chips way too easily, making them unacceptable for riding.
At first when I opened them I was a little disappointed they did not seem any different from cheaper sunglasses; however, when I walked out side I saw (pun) why I paid so much money for them. The clarity is amazing. Its as if your watching a movie and everything is sunny an bright but you don't have to squint. They don't darken your vision like the cheap pair sunglasses. Take care of your eyes and get them.
I've bought several pairs of these sunglasses. We ride Harleys and they're great for bike riding. The cushions blocks out the air. Without the cushions they're fashionable and really cut out the sun glare. I couldn't recommend them more. As usual, Zappos delivery was fast and awesome!
I have mixed feelings about these but I have decided to hold onto them for now. I do still have the original packaging just in case. What gives? As usual Wiley X stands out as a leader in "fashion forward" design. These guys must have some very creative people working for them. This model is unique and the fit for a M/L head is right on. These won't be slipping off your head anytime soon. Really big heads might suffer from pinching...depends on how big your head is. My hat size is a 7 1/2 and they are good. Even a 7 5/8 could squeak by...not much more though. My complaints have to do with the polarized lenses. Sorry but I own the "scissor" model made in Italy...same lenses and they work way better than these made in Taiwan. I might be wrong because amber lenses in general are not known as the best lenses for fighting glare. Grey polarized are the best for that. However, for fishing glasses these don't cut glare well enough in my opinion. I think Wiley X was trying to get the "hue enhancement" that amber lenses give and combine it with the anti glare effects of mirrored glasses. The result in my opinion is mixed. Conclusion: Not the best protection against heavy glare. I have non polarized Wiley X glasses that do a better job at it. Style is unique and second to none. Not the most durable in my opinion but way better than some other companies. The "Made In Taiwan" logo will definitely cause unwanted attention from Wiley X customers. No one will buy into the idea that made in Taiwan products can withstand bullet shrapnel. Go back to producing in Italy.
Typical Zappos...Blazing fast. Glasses are excellent. Lightweight and very comfortable. Great motorcycle glasses.
I bought these specifically for golfing since my eyes would burn and turn super red after a round. What can I say? They totally work awesome on bright sunny windy days. I played 4 rounds, 3 days straight and my eyes are fine.
These glasses seem very well built, but they did not fit my face. They are supposed to be for small/medium faces but they were still too big on my face. The foam gaskets would be nice for riding a cycle, but unfortunately the gaskets only touched above my eye, still allowing air to get in below causing teared up eyes. I also wasn't too fond of the styling. They ultimately ended up being returned.
These are very cool shades. The frames are super cool and very aggressive looking. "Was that the terminator that just walked by"? I was a little concerned about not ordering the polarized version, but they don't come in grey/polarized lenses. However, I used them biking along the river front and they did really well against glare. I was pleasantly surprised. The frames look very cool. I've always been attracted to Wiley X for the thought they put into their designs. You will stand out with these bad boys. My only complaint is that they aren't made in Italy - instead, Taiwan is written on the frames. The best marketing any sunglass company can have is "made in Italy" (or France) stamped on their frames. I almost didn't buy these because of that, but Zappos was very kind in issuing me a credit for a past order. I am very happy with my glasses - but go back to producing them in Italy!
I've liked Wiley X glasses for a while now. They tend to come out with some very fashion forward designs with the durability of tactical gear. If you like black sunglasses, Wiley X provides an excellent selection of styles. The made in Italy stamp on the glasses made me feel like I was getting good stuff. After receiving these today I was at first put off by the plastic bag covering the glasses. It gave the glasses an immediate "mass produced, Asia" look. After inspecting the glasses more I noticed these were after all "Made in Taiwan". However I needed a magnifying glass to read it. It is printed in fancy curved lettering so you have to study it to realize that it is made in Taiwan. The style looks great and I am sure the polarized lenses are decent, however, for sure not top of the line. I have a rather large head and the fitting isn't that snug on me even with the foam insert. Hopefully the made in Taiwan versions will hold up just as well as the made in Italy versions. Only time will tell. Bottom Line: Lower end of polarized sunglasses but still functional. Still has that great Italian design look Doesn't fit as snug as promised. Depends on your head size I guess. I am a 7 1/2 fitted hat. Made in Taiwan which makes me feel extremely uneasy about paying this much for sunglasses. Zappos is great. They understand that customer service is everything. In return I try to be a good customer by leaving reviews and not abusing the free returns policy. People working together come out ahead!

Comfortable and effective eye protection. I don't use the inserts, but they seem certain to provide additional protection from sand, etc.
I placed an order for these goggles for Search and Rescue; they work great! They fit perfectly underneath my helmet and keep out all the dirt and dust washed up from the helo's out of my eyes. They are very flexible and durable. No delay at all in receiving my shipment, 3 days.
The first impression was that they're too small for my face. Next experience - pretty good lenses - polarized, scratch resistant. Pretty soon, the ear socks begun to peel off. Then, the temples broke off by the hole for the elastic strap. There are no spare temples available for this model. Fortunately, with some arming, I was able to solder the pieces together. Still they are neither strong enough, nor pleasantly looking.
