Wigwam Ultimax - I have been using this brand and this model for over ten years. They are comfortable and they last, last, last. I tried to save a few bucks by buying some Hanes sort-of-look-alikes. They didn't make it past a year. I don't hike. These are my everyday socks.

Best socks. Superior to the plain white athletic Wigwams because, as the 'features' on the right indicate, they don't bunch up and fall down a lot like most socks. Plus, and this is the biggie: your feet won't sweat (much) while wearing these. If you have sweaty feet like I do, then you need these, they are worth the money. Like the previous reviewer, I don't hike.

Cushy feel, but not bulky. My favorite socks! Ultimax is well worth the money, I have yet to wear out a pair of them and I have never had a blister while wearing them. Great for vacation tourism and shopping. My favorite socks for hiking and walking. I wanted to wear them everyday, so I bought the 6 pack here. Zappos is the best for speedy delivery!

Great boot socks!! We purchased these socks with some Chippewa boots. My son LOVES these socks and says they are so comfortable and cushion his foot all day. We highly recommend them and they last and last.

Delightful tip from boot salesman - I reluctantly bought a pair of these w/ a pair of Rocky boots on the advice of the salesman (I've never spent so much on one pair of socks before). WOW what a great pair of socks! All day comfort and you can even wear them a couple days w/ no yucky feeling or odor, so they are great for packing light for trips (means you also don't need to buy so many pairs of socks so price ends up not so bad)! I am back for a few more so I can pitch all my other crappy socks out.
Brands I'd also recommend: Rocky Boots (Timberland 2nd choice) and Crocs

Successful first 1.5 hour hike in heat... Thanks to these socks and my Columbia Hikers, I completed a 1.5 hour hike - my first hike in over 5 years! We picked 80 degree weather to hike the park/hills near our home, but my feet were cool, DRY, and comfortable. These socks have a little extra thickness in just the right places - where the shoe tongue meets ankle & where the back of the shoe meets back of ankle. And, no thick seam across the toes. Great!

Excellent socks - I have been trying different styles and brands of socks for years. These Wigwam socks are great and worth every penny. Due to toe joint injuries over the years and overweight, my feet are very sensitive, especially to constrictions around the middle of the foot. These Wigwam socks fit well and don't constrict my feet. After a week of walking, my feet are still happy.

Excellent Socks - These socks are perfect. I wanted good hiking socks without wool. These are the answer. They are comfortable, they stay up, they are padded in the right places, not too hot and moisture wicking. Great quality. Glad I decided to spend the money. I get great shoes from Zappos, why not great socks, too?!

Outstanding Socks! As a Marine Corps infantryman for over 18 years and after going through, who knows, 30-70 different brands of hiking socks, from 100% wool to angora, these Wigwa's are absolutely the finest socks this beat up old grunt's feet have ever encountered. Perfect cushioning, moisture control, fine elastic support in the instep and smooth toes. My only complaint is purely aesthetic: the Dark Khaki Heather is a sickly greenish-tan, but as I wear 10-12 eyelet boots, that's really not a big deal. Thought you might like to know. Wish they came in a coyote tan and black.

Big foot - My feet are w-i-d-e and I wear a 13 shoe. To me, these socks were far from "XL". I pulled like crazy to stretch them, and they were still tight. The elastic at the top must be for a toddler. Had to cut the elastic 2 places at the top for about 3/8". Very disappointed in them. I need socks for "big" feet and proportional calves.

I bought these shoes for Zumba and of all of the "fitness" dance shoes I found, these were my favorite. The look is nice, the shoe turns fairly well (but does have a rubber sole, so it does "stick" a bit). Also, it doesn’t have the "pillars" on the back of the heel, which is a huge PLUS. With these shoes it is easy to go up on your heels for moves. Cushioning is just "so so" and the shoe is completely flat - no arch! I’m going to send them back in favor of some dance sneakers. From what I’ve read, you should buy fitness shoes for a dance aerobics class, but I don’t find the cushioning on this pair to be much better than the dance shoe, and at least the dance shoe is built for dancers’ feet (high arch).

These socks come in a very outdoorsy two-tone color scheme which are a nice departure from the more staid navy blue and gray Wigwam socks I've previously owned, they also seem a little bit softer and plush on my feet after a few hours on my feet. I think this is the designed intent and maintain material thickness for durability, but soften it for increased comfort, good thinking Wigwam.

Haven't had these long but I think I like. Not as cushiony as I like but for temps above 60F these are prob. more tolerable. These fit a bit more snugly than smart wool, which for my narrow feet is good. With most socks I have sizing issues as I always seem to be between a Large and X-large. (If you're a 13 narrow you know what I mean). I can't stand for my feet to be sliding around in my socks especially on a hike. I wish wigwam would make these in some lighter colors. A lighter grey or putty perhaps. Us guys with skinny legs look even dorkier in dark colored socks. That's my story and it's stickin' to me! Zappo's still #1.
Brands I'd also recommend: Smart wool pHd

These are great socks at a good price. Candidly, socks at Walmart are cheaper, but they wear out faster, too. In general, I've found that all the various Wigwam Socks are excellent for wear and comfort. Plus, their selection is awesome. You can buy tall socks, short socks, heavy socks or lightweight socks, and socks that wick moisture away from your feet. These Hiking/Outdoor Pro socks are of medium length and medium weight. They are strong, and wear well. I hike every day, so I try and get the best. Wigwam socks are the best.

I couldn't be more pleased with these socks. I'm 6'1" and 300lbs, and I'm on my feet most of my 12-14 hour workday, so I'm pretty rough on shoes and socks. The quality of these is amazing, and the 2 year comfort guarantee provides peace of mind. They fit true to size, feel like walking on deep pile carpet, and are very stylish for a hiking sock. Kudos to WigWam!
