Item is exactly as pictured, including the sturdy lugs on the bottom. The boots seem really tough, but my little guy runs through a pair about every 2 months so we'll see. They are flexible but hold their shape nicely, and best of all they're easy for him to pull on and off. These were a bit of a splurge but I bought them sized to grow into. Enjoying them very much so far.

I bought these for my 22 month old son; he loves them! He can put them on (usually on the wrong foot) and take them off himself, wears them first thing in the morning, over his fuzzy jammies! I bought them big so he has some growing room. They are his Choo Choo Boots and one of his favorite things! I absolutely could not help him put them on, he had to do it himself, and as a typical two year old he got frustrated trying to put them on until he figured out he had to stand and step into them!

We live on a farm so rain/mud boots are something that I keep on hand for my son. He had a great pair of Kidorable ones, but when those needed replacing, I looked for Thomas ones--since he’s a train fanatic. He LOVES these and they fit great. He has a little bit of a wide foot and they still fit perfect. I got an 11 and he normally wears a 10/11 depending on the shoe. These seem well made so I think they will hold up well.

A huge hit...but anything Thomas is in this house. They seem to run a little big. The rubber is super soft and flexible and they are nicely lined with a soft microfleece-ish fabric.
Brands I'd also recommend: keen

My daughter loves these boots as she has a slight obsession with trains. They are wide enough for her when many shoes are not. My only complaint is that they off gased so much at first they made my eyes water and my nostrils burn. Even after they spent a week under the covered porch, they still burned my eyes and nose if we were in a small invoked space like the car. It took about a month for the smell to subside. Now they are perfect for puddle jumping when combined with a good pair of rain pants!

Great boot. We are buying our son his 2nd pair of these in a larger size and passing the others down to his little brother. They are still in perfect condition. Easy for little ones to pull on all buy themselves with the handles.

We got these boots for our two year old grandson because he loves all things Thomas. They are absolutely the cutest ever. I'm not surprised that he never wants to take them off. He's only had them for 3 weeks but they still look new - even with constant wear.

My son loves Thomas, so he is quite happy with these. They did smell strongly when I pulled them out of the box. They seemed to be bigger than marked, but fine for a growing toddler. As for comfort, I don't know but he loves wearing them!

These boots are super cute. They smelled horrible when I took them out of the box so I had to let them air out over night. My 3 1/2 yr old son loves them. So far they are in great shape and have held up well, and my kiddo likes to wear rain boots even when it is not raining. :)

My son loves these boots! My son just turned 3 years old and wears an 8/9 in most shoes. he is of average height and weight. These boots are definately big on him, so I would say the size runs a little big. However, he loves them and the fact that they are big just makes it even easier for him to get them on himself. he pulls the two yellow straps and up they go! He is all smiles!

I purchased these for my two year old grandson. The minute he walked into my house these boots caught his eyes. He immediately tried to put them on. The appeared to fit to tight around the ankle. I think they run small. These boots are adorable, but I am not sure how much he will wear them.

My grandson adores Thomas and these rainboots were just the ticket for him. They seem to be very well constructed and durable. They will easily be handed down to another child. Well worth the money spent on them. Easy to slip on and off, even for a little tyke. Really cute.

These are adorable boots. But they have split open all the way up the back after 8 months and are unwearable. Granted we leave them outside on our patio a lot of the time, but we live in S. California so the weather's not that harsh. I think it is the sun exposure that destroys the rubber, so avoid that if you want them to have a longer life. Otherwise, our 3 year old son has loved these boots.
