A great shoe! Just received my shoe today, already completely pleased and satisfied with the product. It's very flat so the comfort isn't 5 stars but that's what you get with skate shoes. It's still very comfortable and the color options are great for those adventurous and creative shoe owners. Would recommend to any of my friends or family and can't beat the price!

They lace up well, very snug, but not constricting. Laces are a bit long. Well made leather outer, if a little thin. Best to use a conditioner and polish weekly. Scuffs rather easily, but it is a white shoe, and cleans up well. Excellent sole comfort and grip for sports like skateboarding and parkour. Great tongue straps. I like the ventilation holes, keeps feet a little drier. Break in wear period is short and playable right out of the box. I get numerous compliments for these shoes. I’m usually pretty picky about picking up a pair of kicks because my feet need decent arch support and are a tad on the wide side. I’ve had bad experiences with Converse sneakers because they were too narrow and would cramp my feet. However, the Vox Footwear Trooper is great. I’m a size 13 and can say two brands have done me good... Vox & Vans (their "Authentic" is a drastic difference in width compared to Converse). This shoe is a bit stiff and needs some walking to break in because it’s meant for protection for skaters... but so far it feels great. The moderate arch support and general padding feel great. Definitely recommend this shoe if you love Vans and it looks great, too. Yeah boy!

My 13 yr old son was wearing out shoes every month it seemed (I wasn't buying a cheap brand either). Skateboarding and riding his bike through the dirt ramps they make; I decided to buy a different brand of shoes and came across these and he has had these almost 5 months and not one hole to be found!! He even raves about how they are the most comfortable shoes ever...And I'm a happy mom not having to buy a new pair of shoes all the time.

These shoes are sick, and they fit so good. People say get a 1/2 below your regular size, and I did. I think my regular 9 would be better than a 8 1/2.

I ordered Vox Trooper skate shoes for my grandson for Christmas and received them in excellent condtion in a couple of days. I know noting about skateboarding but he loves the shoes and wears them constantly. They seem to be holding up very well. I am very happy with my purchase and would probably order from Zappos again, when these shoes wear out.

After going to numerous snowboard shops and trying on countless pairs of boots, these were undeniably THE most comfortable boots I've ever worn. I have a wide foot and a pretty high arch, so comfortable shoes are always a problem, and many other boots had a lot of pressure points for me, but these fit like a glove! The purple ones are a bit of an eye sore, but the snake skin and black ones are super cute! I'd recommend these to anyone!

Best shoes over all - I’ve been skating Vox since they came out; had the Strubing Hewitt’s and the Troopers. I love them all; the Trooper was my favorite. I skate street more than pools; most comfortable shoe I’ve used. Yeah they were down in about two or three weeks but they have like 4 layers and don’t get a hole in them for months. If you ask me best money I’ve spent.

Great skate shoe - Nice shoes. I have the dreamland edition, and they're great. Nice soles - good combination of grip and durability. Insoles not quite as soft as Vans, but still very comfortable. This is the first pair of skate shoes I've purchased recently that are NOT Vans. VOX reminds me of Vans before they were "trendy."

Brands I'd also recommend: VOX and other skate shoes with vulcanized soles!
