Love this dress. I'm 5'10, so was afraid it would be too short, but it comes to my ankles. That will be fine with flip flops, but wouldn't be if I wanted to wear heels. The straps are adjustable so you can manage your cleavage. Love the little pockets. The only downside is the materials is really thin. I will have to mindful of the underwear I wear and might even have a strapless bra.

Anytime I order anything. I always want to use Zappos. They make it so simple to order and return if needed.

I ended up buying this in both small and medium initially to compare. I'm 5'9, size 4/6 and 36D. A kind of athletic, yet kind of out of shape figure, if you can picture that. The dress is thin, but forgiving. I wanted it to the floor, so I kept the medium, though I (and my husband) loved the way the small fit...it was too short for my taste. I paid a lot to have the medium taken in to fit like the small. Not sure why I just had to have this dress. Maybe it is the Heron Blue, which is not so much blue as it is lavender. It's a really cute dress, w/ small distinctions from other maxis I've been seeing (and I shop a lot). Very flattering to the fuller bust too, w/o looking trampy. Oh, the only thing, which is why I'm bumping a star off for overall, is that I think the seem at the waist in the middle is not as smooth as it should be. Not a deal killer. Because I bought 2 of them, I know it's not a 1-time fluke. An oversight maybe? Under What Other Brands would I recommend? About Volcom
The goal of Volcom is to provide clothing to people who share a passion for art, music, film, skateboarding, surfing, snowboarding and motocross. They are focused on supporting athletes, artists and musicians – providing a means for creative individuals to come together and collectively express themselves. This collaborative effort results in everything from the ever-growing "Let the Kids Ride Free" contest series to the high-profile "Volcom Pipeline Pro" surf competition on down to their in-house independent record label – Volcom Entertainment.
Volcom's belief that "the only constant is change" defines their willingness to embrace the complexity and diversity that exists in the world and their ability to apply it to their overall creative output. It also speaks of their open-minded approach to business and life in general. This flexible outlook enables Volcom to take on many meanings and stay relevant on many levels.
Founded on a snowboarding trip in the winter of 1991 by Richard Woolcott and Tucker Hall, the Volcom idea would incorporate a major philosophy of the times: "Youth Against Establishment". This energy was an enlightened state to support young creative thinking. Volcom was (and still is) a family of people not willing to accept the suppression of the established ways.
Their products (which include streetwear, boardshorts, denim, swimwear, sandals, accessories and outerwear) incorporate a distinctive mixture of fashion and function combined with quality, comfort and athletic performance. The environmentally conscience V.Co-Logical Series, the rider-collaborative V.Co-Operative Series and the Featured Artist Series are just few of Volcom's premiere product collections. With designs for men, girls and youth, they create clothing that not only exemplifies their lifestyle, but enhances the ability to live it.
