These shorts will definitly last longer then your son's growth spurts! My boys go to a school where uniforms are mandatory. The Volcom are a bit more expensive than others but tend to be softer and more comfortable.

I bought these for my 6 year old and of course smallest size is 8 so I had elastic fitting sewn inside as he is very thin. They are awesome and dressy and sporty which I love. The quality is very good and discreet logo too. Amazing shipping - 1 day free! Love Zappos!

It is all Volcom for the kids at my grandson's school. The shorts fit well and have great detail. Check out the back interest. Who would have thought 11 year old boys were so fashion conscious? I am so happy that Zappos carries Volcom.
Brands I'd also recommend: It's all Volcom at the moment.

These are great shorts and fit well since my son is on the slimmer side. He loves Volcom clothes and these are dressier than most of the other items they make.

I bought these shorts (size 10 slim) this time for my 10 year old who is tall and very slim. They fit him perfectly because they fit around the waist while giving him the length he needs to wear to school. The fabric is not scratchy, is soft, and a nice weight. They wash well, no wrinkling, or fading. They fit well in the hip and thigh, and he likes them a lot. I buy them also for my 12 year old and he likes them, too. I have also purchased this short for my 17 year old. He is the one who chose them in the first place because he likes the style.
Brands I'd also recommend: My boys also like the Fox brand of shorts.
