These are the first shoes I have ordered from Zappos and I am very happy with them. I have larger calves and I was able to unlace the boots enough so that they fit. (I also punched an additional hole in the calf strap--there was enough room on the end and it made them more comfortable.)

These boots are much nicer than I expected. The price of these boots make them affordable and it's made with all vegan materials. They fit me like a glove. When I purchase boots, I usually have to be concerned about the fit around the calve area being too loose. These fit like a glove around the calves. I guess if you have bigger calves than me and I'm sure a lot of people do because I noticed some of the boots are just too loose around the calve area - then they might not work for you. But if you you're more on the petite side, these boots are amazing! It's as if they were made for me. Seriously! I don't understand how people are saying you need to go up a size or two. I usually wear either a 7.5 or 8. I got the 8's and they fit great! If I went up a half a size bigger they would have been too big. I'm really happy with this purchase. They look a lot like Doc Martens, without the price. Not that I don't love Doc Marten- because I do. These boots are great & still have the feminine edge. I really recommend them. I don't recommend going up a size unless you are bigger boned. If you are more on the petite side and usually have to look for boots that aren't too loose around the calves, these boots will be perfect for you!

These boots are really lovely. I've had them for a year and they're still in good condition. I normally wear them when it rains or when it's cold out. I'm tall and I was afraid on how these boots would look on me because of my height but it looks really good, so if there are any tall gals out there that want these boots -- go for it! I feel a little bit like badass with them on. :P I normally wear size 8.5 - 9 US. The 8.5 was too snug on my feet so I went for a size 9 and it fits great. I love it!

I'm a very picky person about black boots. I have many pairs, but needed a flat boot good for walking in different climates. I love these. They're great with jeans, a mini skirt, shorts. They are a bit on the "harder" side, almost heavy like Doc Martens. Just have to rock them with style. I've been wearing them for about a month now and I don't see much wear. That says a lot considering I usually go through shoes in a month from walking everywhere in SF.

I purchased these as a gift for my Granddaughter. She wears size 7 1/2. The boots were too small. I had to wait until more came in, and then I exchanged them for the larger size. She was extremely happy when she finally got them. I received good customer service from your company and will shop at Zappos.com again.

Most comfortable shoe I own! I wear them everywhere and the leather really stands up to some wear and tear. Plus, they look really cool. I ordered a size down from my regular size, but they were still too big. I put inner soles in them and the problem was solved! The only other complaint I have is that the heel occasionally scratches my ankle if I wear them all day. This doesn't happen all the time and I usually just put a band-aid on my ankle or wear thicker socks and that helps. Overall, very happy with this purchase!

These are my favorite boots! They had them at HotTopic for less, but sold out. My cousin bought a pair and I loved them so much I desperately searched far and wide for some. Eventually by a miracle I found them on the sales portion of the HT site, marked down. I used a code and got them marked down farther. I love them so much. They're so comfy, my cousin wore them hiking. I love wearing them everywhere. I get compliments from friends and strangers. I've got a few scuffs from heavy usage (I've had them over a year) and I'm looking to buy a second pair, but I can only find them for a much higher price now! I've never paid that much for a pair of shoes, but I'm thinking it may be worth it!

I\'m glad I read the reviews first and ordered a full size larger than my usual size. The boots are so comfortable, I walk all day in them. They are good quality and it\'s really nice that the strings can be adjusted to fit your leg.

I absolutely love these, most of all for being light. I walk a lot, and my previous boots in this style looked great but felt like wearing 5 lbs on each foot. One more thing: if you wear them with some good insoles like Smartfeet you'll be amazed how comfortable they are to cover distance in.
