I love my new boots!. They're soft and comfy, but rugged; and look somehow stylish this year in their "vintageness"! Yes, you have to tie them - no zippers or Velcro or other gimmicky means of fastening. Just plain cool boots, without looking as if you're trying too hard!!

I felt compelled to write a review because these boots are fantastic! The styling is classic, the comfort is superb, and they are well made (IN THE USA!!!). Kudos to Vintage Shoe Company and Zappos!

The leather is like butter and it's a gorgeous color BUT: there isn't any arch support, and there's no room for an insole. Plus my medium-to-wide foot feels squeezed. I want to keep them because they are so cute yet so rugged, but if something costs this much, it had better be as perfect as Zappos service is.
