These shoes look great and feel extremely comfortable. They don't require any breaking in. Just a warning that these shoes have a very handmade look to them (i.e. - they aren't perfect). Also the color and wear of the leather on the two shoes don't exactly match, but I like that.

I purchased a pair of the Langdon's from Zappos in black and in brown from another online company because the look of the shoes seemed unbeatable and the prices were great too. I thought that I had hit the jackpot. Without a doubt, these are some of the most poorly constructed shoes that I have ever paid for. The brown pair were the first to go. On the second day that I wore them, the rubber heel cap fell off of one shoe. I did not realize this until I had gotten on the metro to go home and the supporting leather had subsequently been smashed. Upon deeper inspection, the left heel cap was also coming off. One pair down. The second pair which I purchased from Zappos at the same time as the brown pair has made it a little longer. These have now been my primary work shoes for one month. Both heels are coming unglued at the sole and the right rubber heel cap is now coming loose. Two pairs of shoes, and a lot of money, both wasted in under a month. That is absolutely unbelievable. The saving grace is Zappos and the other company. They are refunding my money, no questions asked. I have written Vintage Shoe Company twice without a response. I would comment on their customer service, but they have provided none. So, keep shopping Zappos - they are an awesome company. Stop shopping Vintage Shoe Company.

Wow - great shoes! Right out of the box, soft and comfortable, may be the best fit and overall comfortable shoe I've ever worn. Slightly narrow, but since wearing them a few times that is taken care of itself.
