I liked the look of these shoes, except for the "distressing" on the sides of the soles, which looked as though they were randomly scraped with sandpaper. I would prefer to let my shoes age naturally rather than trying to artificially accelerate the process. I could have lived with that, though. What I couldn't live with was the exaggerated curvature of the front of the sole. This curve and the stiffness of the sole resulted in my toes pointing up, which I thought looked and felt ridiculous and unnatural. I've never encountered that problem with any other shoes I've tried. The shoes also had no arch support that I could feel.

Unfortunately, I had to send these back. The style is great. I love the sole. It's the perfect mix of casual wear, with jeans, and dress up with a suit. And I figured the traction/Vibram sole would be good in the four seasons that Maine has to offer, for everyday use, going to work. But man, are these tight! By no means do I have "fat" feet, but I could hardly get my feet inside them. The length, or size, is not the problem. It's the overall room that your foot has, or doesn't have, to fit. These are cool shoes but they have to go back.
