This is the godfather of toasters, the statement toaster, the it toaster. The red makes it stand out on the counter and the interesting shape really makes it more compact than it appears in photos. Oh yes, it also makes good toast, surprisingly fast.

My experience was very different than the others. Be aware that this thing does not tell you when your toast is done or how long it has to go. You just push down the handle and wait. For English muffins the longest time on the dial (6) was not nearly long enough, so I had to do 6 + 2 to get them toasted. It's also very slow. I ended up giving it to my kids and getting my Cuisinart toaster out of the cupboard. It works faster, has more accurate settings, and lets me know when the toast will be done.
