I travel to Asia and other parts of the world 6-8 times a year and have an earlier version of this bag. It is worth the money to buy from this company because my luggage has been through some very bad stuff and has held up very well. I have watched this bag slide across a wet, greasy runway in Beijing, dragged by evil bag handlers in Mongolia, and once even had a vat of Thai fish sauce poured upon it in the luggage hold of Thai airlines. It took some time to get the smell out of the bag from that last experience, but I still use it. Remarkably. The up and down side to buying the red: it holds up well, you can always see it coming down the luggage chute and it does look a bit more stylish than black. The down side is that you do see more dirt and grime than on a black bag. My bag has had the zipper tags yanked off of at least one of each of my bags (I have three of these Victorinox in various sizes), but there usually is two per zipper so I always have one tab that is functioning. After 9 years I now have to replace the largest bag because it is too nasty to continue on (and I get weird looks from bell hops that don't want to touch it anymore; can't blame them). I am buying the newer version of this because it has been such a great piece of luggage and has a remarkable amount of room. Plus, despite weather and foreign substances frequently attacking it, my clothes usually are dry and protected when I open it . I recommend buying from this company, especially now that they have resolved the issue of the single stem handle. The double stem (as with this bag) allows you to hook another bag on it without the second bag flipping over off the stem. Highly recommend. Worth the money.
