A little sad about this product. I've been a devoted fan of Victorinox for years, so of course, it was quite disappointing to see my bag last 2 weeks (of pretty light use) before a tear emerged at the seam connecting the check fabric to the tarp-like material. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to get it repaired/replaced before I left the country. It was especially disappointing considering my Victorinox backpack from 2005 still looks fantastic, despite being of a much cheaper line and enduring years of terrible abuse from college and frequent international travel. I expected more of the Altmont 2.0 products, and I hope my laptop backpack from the same line lasts longer. Victorinox is still one of the best brands for luggage, but I've had my concerns that the quality of their products has dipped in recent years. (I do hope I'm wrong though.) This bag is not completely without merit however. It's a good day bag to hold your essentials. I bought this for a sailing trip, because I wanted to have my arms free to maneuver around the boat. I didn't want a backpack because the straps can slip off - the monosling doesn't have this problem. On that trip, it fit: wallet, small camera, phone, small water bottle, light sweater, tissues, and sunblock tube. It's also a good size for my 5' frame. It's a stylish design (I've gotten compliments on it) and the red one looks great, though a little more orange and a less vivid red than my older Victorinox products. I find the button flap a little annoying, but I have to admit it looks good. It's a small bag, so there's not much in the way of organization; but the front compartment houses a slash pocket for your phone or other things you need to find quickly. The sling also has a soft pocket for your gadget of choice. It's as well thought-out as a small monosling can be. Also glad the bottom is padded. I would recommend this bag, but warn that you should leave yourself time to test it for defects. Thankfully, Zappos is great with returns.
Brands I'd also recommend: Oakley

About Victorinox
In 1909, Elsener registered the cross and shield emblem as the company's trademark. When stainless steel started being used for knives, Elsener name the company Victorinox in 1921: combining his mother's name and "inox", and abbreviated French word for the characteristic of the new steel, "inoxydable".
The Original Swiss Army Knife, as it is commonly referred to now, gained fame after World War II when American soldiers returned home with the multi-tools as souvenirs. The same spirit and values of quality, functionality, innovation and iconic design that led Elsener to create his company thrives today. Inherent in every Victorinox Swiss Army Knife, every set of household and professional cutlery, every precision timepiece, each item of clothing, each piece of travel gear or bottle of fragrance, is an intangible, a certain "Swissness", if you will.
This classic quality continues in the Victorinox brand of chef and kitchen knives. The home chef can be sure that - with Victorinox - they are using the best, most flexible tool for the job, whether they are slicing bread or boning a fish.
Victorinox bags are engineered with tough, resilient materials and Swiss innovation so you can be guaranteed that wherever you travel, your luggage will be able to handle the needs of the modern day road warrior.
Victorinox menswear strives to be just as innovative as Victorinox bags with a seasonal collection of performance friendly, travel friendly clothing and accessories of superior quality and utilitarian use. Both products utilize innovative materials, functional construction and intelligent details designed to serve an active, discerning individual. In transit. At work. At Play.
