Throughout the entire Vestal line, you will see watches with style that has been influenced by the “Do-It-Yourself” attitude of the Punk Era. Vestal has taken accidental treatments and made them into intentional styles. The watch names and artwork pay respect to important people, places, and events. Additionally, Vestal is fortunate to have the support of some of the most talented bands and athletes in the world.
Vestal's progressive philosophy in watch and accessory design eliminates the conceptual lines separating music, fashion and youth culture, opening the door for previously unexplored creative crosspollination amongst multiple genres. A true Vestal customer understands that Vestal watches are not only dependable and fashion-forward timepieces, but are also extensions of a rock-inspired lifestyle.

De Novo is a Latin expression meaning from the beginning, a fresh anew beginning again." The De Novo is Vestal's new, fresh timepiece and lays claim to being the first Vestal with a day register. The premium Japanese chronograph allows you to start and stop the measurement of minutes and seconds with ease. Its fashionably wide, comfortable stainless steel band with a solid two-pusher, butterfly deployment clasp makes the De Novo a truly unique timepiece.

This watch is almost a great watch. I love the style and the way it feels on my wrist. It's got a nice heft to it and size. The time is easily readable. And people notice this watch. But there are two problems. First, the date is a joke. It's unreadable. The small magnifier needs to be bigger. Not huge, like on a Rolex, but larger than it is. Second, the band needs a different clasp. If I need to tuck my wrist towards the inside of my forearm, the band pops open. I have to deal with this at least a few times a day, many times more. There needs to be a lock over the butterfly clasp or smaller release buttons. Because this is so annoying, I seldom wear this watch and so can't give it a good rating. I own other Vestal watches and will buy more. These two issues are an odd and uncommon oversight.
