I buy New Balance all the time, but I buy a size larger but narrower than the rest of my shoes because they run so much shorter or maybe I just wear thicker socks with these. I'm wearing them for hospital work and they seem to be working out just fine. I also wear different New Balance for walking in the neighborhood (hills) and hiking (moderate mountain hiking). I think they are predictably sturdy and long lasting.

I love these sandals! I have a very hard time finding shoes that fit me comfortably. I bought a pair of these last summer locally, and have been looking everywhere for more. When I couldn't even locate them on the manufacturer's website, I figured I have to give up. Then I ran into them here. Service was great; obviously, selection is, too. Zappos, I love you!

Converse Chuck Taylor\'s have been one of my favorite shoes since I was 15 yrs old. I usually wear a 9.5 Women\'s and have found that Chucks can run a half size larger, so I always order a Women\'s 9/ Men\'s 7 and they fit perfect every time. These arrived fast and were on my feet and I was out the door with no problems. I recommend changing lace color to add another dimension of personal flair.

I bought these for my son as he had little time prior to a wedding and Caribbean honeymoon. He's very picky and hates to shoe-shop. He has a very high arch and instep, as do I, and he liked how these fit, their style and they have good arch support. He typically wears a size 10 shoe in a wide width, if available. I bought a size 11 due to his high instep and they worked well.

Bought these shoes for a friend. She loves them. I had been looking for the red and black checkered Vans everywhere in stores and ended up finding them here for super cheap. I love these shoes! I just bought another pair. I must have bought 7 or 8 pairs over the past 7 years. The only negative factor (besides their looks, which take some getting used to) is that they wear out fairly quickly and get dirty quickly, too. I wish they came in a dark color. But obviously those are not deal breakers for me, because of the shoes' superb comfort and stability. I turned my left ankle in 2002 while hiking, breaking it in 3 places. I was wearing very expensive Mephisto oxfords at the time. It was at that point that my physical therapist told me I needed shoes that provided more stability and prevented pronation. I already knew to buy shoes with extra padding for walking on hard surfaces. My local store here in Austin, Karavel Shoes, recommended New Balance 587 to me and I've been wearing them ever since. Their "roll bar" really helps my weak ankles keep me vertical, and I've worn them on at least 6 continents on various walking trips; they definitely provide the padding one needs while spending hours in museums or walking on stone pavements. I know they are supposed to be "running shoes", but I use them only for walking. I'm 72.

Good: breaks in fast (1 week), stylish (classic look), reasonable price, light weight. Bad: snug near toes (I have wide feet), no arch support (I have a medium arch). I have wide feet with a medium arch so for me overall it's a stylish, reasonably priced shoe, comfortable enough for everyday use with moderate walking.

This is the first pair of Tevas I have owned and they are absolutely the best sandals for all types of terrain. Having recently visited the Galapagos Islands, these sandals were comfortable and gave good traction on boulder strewn paths, volcanic rock, sand and were great for wet landings from the zodiacs. Even our naturalists (guides) wore them.

One word to describe the shoes: Awesome! They do run big so don't get the 1/2 size if you normally do or go a 1/2 size down. No arch support or cushion so if you have sensitive feet, you'll need to buy your own cushion. I have worn this shoe with and with socks and this shoe has never caused any heel discomfort.

I hate these shoes. They look awesome, but I bought them from the North Face store. Tried them on and they appeared to fit great. My husband swore by his North Face athletics as well. He bought the male style similar to these. We were both very disappointed. The seam of the shoe is right over my little toes and rubs against them when I'm walking. I am a runner and bought them for that. I wouldn't dare take them out for a run for fear of serious blisters, especially after the minor ones I get from just walking in them. That's with thick socks on, too! My husband is a runner as well. His fell apart in about 6 weeks. North Face quality at least as far as athletic shoes are concerned seemed to have gone downhill. Needless to say these are in nearly new condition and sitting in my closet. Would return them, but I am 2 hours from the nearest North Face Store. I'll go back to my Asics.

I love these shoes. In the past few years, I have ordered almost all of my shoes from Zappos. They are efficient and I always get them quickly. I had a pair I needed to return because I needed a different size and there were no questions asked. I will continue to buy my shoes in the fturue from this company.

Overall, these shoes are quite comfortable. However,even in these shoes there are times when my feet feel tired and uncomfortable after standing on them all day long. The style is average; not very attention getting in design, but I purchased them more for the comfort factor. I think that Zappos is a wonderful business; selection is great, delivery is fast and returns are easy!

I've been wearing Converse since I was a kid & I love them! They're super sturdy & very comfortable. I tend to run a half size smaller in these than other shoes, so you might keep that in mind.
